Biden Infrastructure Bill Includes $20 BILLION To DESTROY Highways For Being Racist

Joe Biden’s $2.5 trillion infrastructure spending spree will include $20 billion earmarked for actually destroying highways because they have been deemed to be racist.

The administration pointed to the Claiborne Expressway in New Orleans and Interstate 81 in Syracuse, New York as two examples of “long-standing and persistent racial injustice,” in infrastructure.

Since Newton didn't have many/any non-white neighborhoods back then, they chose to cut off the chunk of the city that was heavily and overtly Italian.

Today, that section is now considered cool, great shops and restaurants and stuff. Even still has green/white/red painted lines down the middle of the streets...but not for long!

When they built route 84 in Waterbury, CT, they built it right on and over my childhood neighborhood which was predominantly italian. I often wonder if that wasn't a money making plan for the highly mob ruled city at the time. The area around there is now and has been a rather depressed area and the last time I noticed was predominantly a Puerto Rican neighborhood.

The Pike cuts through the heart of MA. Anything beyond the 495 belt-line and west of Worcester is not of concern to Beacon Hill.

I didn't live here during the initial construction of the Pike but as it cut west, the right-of-way claimed a lot of "worthless" forests and farmland. The Pike is necessary and a benefit for easier transportation within the Commonwealth. However, to claim that the highway system is racist and unfairly picked on minorities is a ruse.

I always liked Nonantum. A yuuuge part of my worldly education was rooted there from siding guys, bookies, made men etc. I can still speak passable "Lake" talk, a language known to the residents of that part of town.
Plus how do you beat 3 hot dogs for a buck on Thursdays at Guissepe's on Watertown St in The Lake?

Waterbury is also close to Watertown in CT.
