If you could go back and tell your 30 year old self ONE THING, what would it be?

Always have a backup plan.

Nothing, I would not want to change anything that might "disappear" our grandchildren, in spite of the problems ahead.

For someone else, live within your means, save more money and invest for the future. Oh, and buy all the Apple stock you can afford.

RANT ON: At 30, I would not take my first job right out of law school. It sucked. I never should have worked there, but stayed 9 years, which was probably 4 to 5 years too long. It was an assembly-line, major injury law firm that expected all cases to settle. So, I was not taught what to do in court. Got almost no trial experience during the time there. It was owned by family members. They paid for half of college and law school and employed both my parents, so I truly had no choice. they were expecting me to take over the business in like 20 years, but there was no way I wanted to have anything to do with them. When I resigned, they terminated bot my parents. Wish I had been able to take the job offer from the state attorney's office, where I would be in the courtroom for at least a few hours every day. But, it's all good now and I learned allot. Best of all, it did get me out of the window cleaning business I owned... RANT OFF.

Following Genes example, I would tell other 30 year olds the following. STOP, DROP, ROLL, and WHAT.

STOP trying to always prove you are right, you win. This does not mean you were wrong. Drop your anger and forgive everyone, you win. This does not mean you were wrong. ROLL with love based decisions, you win. This does not mean you were wrong. WHAT does STOP, DROP, ROLL add up to? You winning at life.
