Holy crap... I checked the news this morning and saw the story about the apartment building. A 12 story building just cut itself in half! 4 confirmed dead 159 missing. For some reason when I saw Drafters link I had a picture in my head of a three story building being worked on and they messed up or something. I don't click on Fox, MSNBC or CNN links... I can't imagine.... One minute you and your family are asleep in your condo and the next a 12 story concrete and steel building crushes you. They're looking for survivors but, after seeing the pictures...

The building, which was constructed in 1981, has been sinking at an alarming rate since the 1990s, according to a study in 2020 by Shimon Wdowinski, a professor in the Department of Earth and Environment.

When Wdowinski saw the news that the Champlain Towers South condominium in Surfside collapsed, he instantly remembered it from the study, he said.

Actually no. It's a small town with just under 6k residents with deep pockets. A tiny condo goes for 500k to start. A small house can cost you 1.5M... It's a small island just off of Miami. The place looks amazing.
