Yep... just had one...

I was watching a youtube of a bunch of smart people debating whether or not we live in a simulated universe.

Towards the end of the discussion, I came to the conclusion that anyone who believes in "God" or otherwise a being or beings who exist outside this universe, by necessity believe in the simulation hypothesis.

Think about it. For a being or beings to to map information from their universe to our universe they would by necessity be creating a simulation utilizing the building blocks of their own domain.

What does that mean? It means that most likely if the religious people are are right, there's actually a bunch of nerds up there observing our universe. They probably don't give a flying f*ck about us individually though... Where if they do, they're probably a bunch of progressive leftists.

That's it.

Progressive leftist nerds have been trying to create a socialist Utopia on Earth for ages. They continue to suck at it.
I wouldn't trust them for a second to try to create a simulated universe.

I thought the idea was that the Big G created everything cause he was bored (no offense to those who worship the Great Green Arkleseizure).

But In fairness to you point, if there were no God wouldn’t it be necessary to create him?

I guess it could be a kindergartener in a far advanced alien species that lives in a higher dimensional space just sneezed a snot out his nose and we're currently expanding out on a 4 dimensional floor... in that case there would be no God though... we just haven't got wiped up yet.

I dunno - Sounds like a human characteristic to want to see the order and reason of someone creating a simulation for us to live in. The idea that the world is a random natural occurrence seems to be repugnant to many…

You need an epiphany on the meaning of epiphany.

Seeing the all powerful Glory of The Holy Creator will strike such fear into a man that you'll fall on your face as a dead man.

Then knowing He provided Him self a lamb for sacrifice in the place of judgement for your sake...
