Cost $844.04 to fix and another $80 yet to pay for the inspection stickers...
Plus I need 2 new tires by winter and a possible brake job by then...

What's more is they aren't inclined to haggle at all currently. When getting the wife's new ride, I was told the price. I asked what he could do. He shrugged and said if I didn't take it, somebody would come in tomorrow that would. I didn't realize I could hate car buying more than I already did.

Used car prices are up 40% due to shortages from the car rental companies and stimulus money demand.

New car shortages and higher prices are mostly due to microchip shortages and used car shortages right now. First, covid was killing new car sales before the microchip shortages and brought out some never been seen Honda deals.

At the same time a few months ago, my old cars were worth more than my new cars cost me (again) big time! Go figure. My friend who has been at the Honda dealership for 30 years had never seen this before.

Gas is like up to $3/gallon at this point because Texas froze several months ago and then, Saudi Arabia cut production and OPEC instituted cuts that hurt us too. But UAE is pumping more again, OPEC is expected to pump more again and the gas price is expected to ease up soon.

Did you know there is also a shortage of jet fuel too?
