So what makes a “perfect cigar”? Some time ago I posted that I had found my “perfect cigar”. It was interesting to read the comments. The great George Burns, who died at age 100 smoked ten cigars a day. He was often offered wonderful Cuban cigars by his friends. He turned them down and stuck to what he was smoking. He always smoked El Producto Queens. I don’t think anyone reading this would think of El Producto Queens as a perfect cigar, but George Burns did. He called them his “Little Ladies”. I have been smoking several of Torano cigars and have never found one that I did not enjoy. I cannot say the same for Cohiba, Alec Bradley, Rocky Patel, and countless other well-known cigars. So, to me the entire Torano line are my perfect cigars. I suppose I could call them “My Little Ladies”. Just my opinion.

The perfect cigar is one that smokes from start to finish without falling apart on you while hanging out with your buddies.

no argument here...some old guy who used to hang around here said, "smoke what you like"

my problem is that I found many that I like, and I keep looking for more, but am often disappointed...despite the duds, the search continues...some other old guy used to say, "variety is the spice of life"

Used to think Tat made nothing but gems, recently not so much though. I do stick to certain wrappers now more than ever. My taste went for give me the fullest cigar to more mild/med as well. Once in awhile I venture back into the field of Nic puros but I feel the perfect cigar is not so much the maker but the particular label that hits your sweet spot on that perfect occasion when you can relax and get lost in the moment! Doesn't matter if it is Tat or Gurkha, Nicaraguan or Cuban it is all in the moment.

Think I am a philosophy major as well?

So what makes a “perfect cigar”?

No such thing. So there rest of the post is irrelevant.

🌫

It’s all about palette, construction, humidity and mood which are all dynamic. That said Torano’s and A. Bradley’s are currently some of the worst constructed cigars on the market.
