This is what one of my daughter’s coworkers told everyone during a happy thanksgiving group chat. This is what it is like out here. Makes Brewha look like Ronald Reagan.

A national day of mourning...

I kinda' agree with them...
But don't quote me or hold me to that...

The northeastern Indians were overrun and massacred by the evil whiteman...plain and simple...no arguing that point whatsoever...

Which is a very sad commentary on the whitemans Thanksgiving...

Gotta side with the north eastern Indians on basic principle..

But, otherwise... I would never have existed...

What a selfish conundrum???

Real history has been whitewashed.
Ya, one day the Puritans and the Indians feasted together.
But then there was war between the Puritans and the Indian tribes.
Yes, Puritans had indentured servants and owned slaves too, more Indians than Africans. Africans didn't fair as well in the New England climate and the mortality rate was twice as high as with whites. European diseases devastated the Native American tribes too.
The Calvinist Puritans were a strange bunch, they were very strict and authoritarian in many ways, were very superstitious,
they persecuted and/or killed people they thought were witches too. They were even known to burn rebellious servants, maim political dissenters, and hang Quakers.

There's a great book titled ALBION SEED, FOUR BRITISH FOLKWAYS IN AMERICA by DAVID HACKETT FISCHER

There are a lot historical references from surviving records that show how superstitious they were.

"One such case in New Haven involved a one-eyed servant named George Spencer, who had often been on the wrong side of the law, and was suspected of many depravities by his neighbors. When a sow gave birth to a deformed pig which also had one eye, the unfortunate man was accused of bestiality. Under great pressure, he confessed, recanted, confessed again, and recanted once more. The laws of New England made conviction difficult: bestiality was a capital crime and required two witnesses for conviction. But so relentless were the magistrates that the deformed piglet was admitted as one witness, and the recanted confession was accepted as another. George Spencer was hanged for bestiality."

That was not an isolated incident either. The stuff they don't teach in government schools.

Spoils of war.

Played darts with an 11 yr old brat. Game was Cricket. After a few rounds of warming up, I put his line 3 feet closer to the board and I only used 2 darts (mind you, I haven't really played darts for about 20 years). Franking brat had melt downs because I closed his stuff out even though he was 84 points ahead. I eventually caught up in points and he had more meltdowns. It came down to a nail biter where the next person to tag a 20 wins the game.

The last round of throws on my last dart for my turn... I hit the boarder of 5 and 20... suck it you brat! It's a 20. Closer review.. my dart skipped into the 5. (Frank... a C hair away from beating the brat).

His throw next... His last dart, hit the boarder of 20 and 1 but skipped into the 20... the brat won. Was happy for him and me because I didn't want to deal with the spoiled brat losing.

Where was I now? Oh yeah, spoils of war... winners win, losers lose... deal with it.
