My dad was a broadcast engineer and his career was working in radio and TV on the tech side of keeping them up and running in the field and in the studio.

WKRP was one of his favorite shows since he could totally relate with the scenarios. When it was on TV (I think it was Thursday night), you can guarantee that the TV was tuned into WKPR for that half hour.
