Anybody with recent experiences noteworthy in the refrigerator, stove, refrigerator, and or space saving microwave… space?

LG?
Whirlpool?
Cafe?
Kitchenaide?
Maytag?

General Electric?

What would Ram do?
What are in dumpsters sooner than they should be, per super sifter, Mr. Jones?

No such thing even Bosch is 💩 made to break.

Wolf is good if you can afford it, I had to make two trips to Jonsie’s hut to buy mine.

Disposable technology has run rampant through the appliance industry. We have a Maytag washer & dryer around 20ish years old with only a couple correctable issues in that time. Washer is going to chit. If it can be fixed, we will. If we have to buy new, I don't expect another Maytag would last 5yrs.

The current problem is not so much which brand is better but what is available and when can you get it.

I think I’m correct in that Maytag and Whirlpool are now owned by the same parent company. Maytag carries a better rating and higher price tag than Whirlpool. My wife and I have been married for 46 years and all, of our washers/dryers and refrigerators have been Kenmore (probably a Whirlpool) and Whirlpool through the years. We had good to excellent service from all.

We just purchased a LG refrigerator four weeks ago and we had to wait two weeks for delivery. This purchase was driven by need and what was available. Our 13 year old Kenmore frig decided to go tits up. Other brands and models we looked at were going to take 2-3 months for delivery.

I like LG and Whirlpools...

Had a whirlpool W & D they both went 23 yrs without a service call ..purchased in 1988?
Then I got divorced...I didn't get them.

I see GE, Samsung , KitchenAid , and all the old cheapo brands in the trash...sanyo, Panasonic,

Whirlpool in my house. 22 years on all 4... fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. Sooooo... no recent experience.

To be fair, the wife and I don't use the dishwasher. We do them by hand or use paper plates. It's just the 2 of us. I think we've run it a few times just to see if it still worked. It did.

Overpriced and fragile.

Two recommendations:

Dishwasher: Bosch Also recommended by our local alliance repairman.

We've had: Electrolux, good, but super expensive parts, Frigidaire leaked and ruined floor. The electrolux was slightly quieter than the Bosch, but the Bosch does a fantastic job of cleaning. For dishwashers, no matter what brand, if you do not feed them HOT water, your results be not be good.

Refrigerator: GE, yup, it's prolly going to break now, but it's been running well for several years. Even the ice maker. still works. It was a quick we needed to replace a 7 year old dead Frigidaire and did not want to spend what LG and Samsung want for their models.

Drowndraft Vent: Thermador with the motor on the exhaust vent. Just leave the speed setting alone and use the on/off, this this is amazing.

Gas Cook Top: Fisher & Paykel, their professional style, with a 20,000 BTU central burner and one 15,000 BTU round burner

Microwave: We had an Amana and replaced it with a Panasonic because the control panel on the Amana does not hold up to Windex and they no longer had the in cabinet mount we need.

We bought the replacement from our local Lowes, their extended warranty uses our local appliance repair company that is top notch and honest.

Correction: the downdraft vent is a Thermador.

We have Samsung appliances in the kitchen. My only complaint is with the fridge, love it but I want to rape the ice maker with a donkey dong. It should come with a Samsung hairdryer to defrost it every week or so.

I got a whirlpool duet sport washer/dryer combo awhile back. Frontloaders...

They've been working fine. I had to replace a valve in the washer twice, but I did it myself in a couple minutes and the valve was like $40.

Bosch dishwasher works great.

Samsung Microwave works great.

Kitchen Aid stove and vent work great.

Samsung refrigerator sucks royal. Ice maker has been replaced three times in less than two years. Wish I had spent double to buy a Kitchen Aid again. Our last Kitchen Aid refrigerator lasted 15 years with zero problems.
