When I’m up there, I’m just thinking that I’ve got to make them laugh or they won’t show up next time.

net worth is like 3 million or so, making him maybe the poorest member of the Senate.
His wife had a salary in the low six figures for several years and he made a chunk of his money on book royalties after becoming more widely well known.
Not sure if there is anything suspicious happening here.

I think what's suspicious is he doesn't "pay his fair share" to the gubment, which for a good commie like him should be a 99% Marxist Income Tax.

If I get married I get a tax break, if I have a kid I get a tax break, if I get a mortgage I get a tax break. I don’t have any kids and I drive a hybrid, I think I should get a tax break. I’m trying to pay off my apartment so I have something tangible. I actually figured out if I paid off my place my reward would be that I would pay an extra four grand a year in taxes.
