Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s out there.

So, what’s on the menu for today?

Family dinner tonight will be ordered from a local (Cantonese) Chinese restaurant:

Sweet Sour Fish
Sweet Sour Squid with cabbage
Stuffed Duck (…one of my favorites…)
Cold Ginger Chicken
Soft Gau Gee Mein
Minute Chicken with cake noodle
Crispy Gau Gee (side order)
Rice (cooked at home)

Dessert will be cake and ice cream to celebrate our youngest granddaughter’s 4th birthday (yesterday).

meeting one of our daughters and her live-in boyfriend for dinner at a place called Buttermilk & Bourbon... Boston celebrity chef's joint with a Southern influence.

If you can keep a secret, I'll tell ya that he came by last week to ask us for permission to marry her!
Think he's popping the question next week. His mom said she "heard" the ring is beautiful.
Gonna be hard to keep our traps shut tonight!

We are having a traditional BBQ. Ribs, sweetcorn, potato salad, macaroni salad, baked beans, coleslaw, New York cheesecake, and watermelon. Ok, the cheesecake isn't traditional. I hope all of you have a great father's day.

Dinner was EXCELLENT! And the right amount too. Leftovers from every dish but not where you look and go, “Oh boy, we sure ordered too much of that dish.”

Pausing before we sing Happy Birthday.

Congrats Frank!

We had giant cinnamon roll for dinner, chicken tender basket for lunch and I made Mississippi pot roast and rice for dinner.

Smoked a MFlB to remember my dad, first Father’s Day without him.
