You are correct but having to sit on hold for 30-60 minutes consumes a lot of valuable time unless you had nothing better to do. I have sat on those long holds so long I had to plug my phone into the charger for fear of running out of battery before they answered. The people who finally answered were polite and helpful in my experience but that prolonged wait is ridiculous. By now they can identify the times when they receive the most calls and should be able to ramp up the staff in response.
