I got a buddy who's a diving instructor and Captain of his own diving boat in Key Largo, (he's the one who married us last June) anyways, he's on my snaps and sends me snap updates from Tavinier Key 3-4 times a day. this morning he had the boat out for one morning dive run and sent snaps as this day progressed. he says 4/5 and 6' caps are rolling in now.. so a one and done day... but the skys down there also look pretty rough!!! Back in June when the wife and I headed down for our Anniversary to Key Largo. he contqacted me a day before we headed out, be4cause at the time a tropical storm was running up through the Keys.. he said might wanna slow our roll and come in on Sunday as it was suppose to pass by then, sure enough it had we only got wet the last 30+ miles from Homestead to Key Largo.. but the ruminants of the storm the entire week were still lingering. took the Bike to South Miami HD for oil change and servicing and we got soaked heading up and back the entire day!!! bbut it was still like 90 degrees so no biggy... LOL

Once I get back to Florida I may get a solar generator. (My gas generator produces more power than the solar panels on my roof!)

I'm gonna fly by the seat of my pants for the first go round. Learn some lessons. My buddy's house has some bolts around the windows to put up sheet metal or something. Mine's newer and doesn't have them. 🤦

Plywood is expensive as sheit... and the house has some fiber cement siding... so it'd be pretty sheitty to nail through it. But it is sturdy as hell.

We have rice, canned food, propane grill with a full tank, dog food, 2 cases of water (Sam's n costco were out or I'd have more) candles, flashlight... beer and booze. Truck won't fit in the garage, so it'll get sacrificed to the hurricane gods.

I looked to the west from I-95 and I saw "mountains/ big ass hills" in the distance...we got closer and it was literally pile of hurricane damage stuff, trees, roofs, shingles, wood, drywall, appliances out the arse and it was about 10+ stories high...
Several of these hills were next to I-95 and they were YUUUUGGGEEE!!

I Hope all you Floridians don't bag up all the Sand in the St. Pete/Tampa area... the Mrs. and I head down to the beaches every June on the Harley!!! Fort Desoto Dog Beach!!! 🇨🇮

It moved east overnight and has Orlando in its track as a probable Category 1 by the time it crosses land from Tampa to get to Orlando.

Just praying we don't lose power.

I've been thru a couple of Florida hurricanes. The last one in 2005 was next to nothing in Orlando. The one way back was in Lauderdale in walking distance from the beach. Power out 3 days and we put up that corrugated metal on almost all the windows. The beach was on the road, but the next day everything was close to normal with a power outage.

Prolly be a flood of Cuban migrants.. if they jump on a raft it should only take them like a half hour to get here.. 😟
