I have come to the conclusion that the sweet spot is around 3 years of rest.
I’ve smoked them from ROTT to 8 years old………lots of them……in varying vitolas.

Gotta say though, I just recently smoked a Petite Rob, with a 2 month travel nap, and it was pretty dang good.
YMMV

Those are great cigars. I have some a couple years old and recently bought a box from 22. Underrated smoke

one of my fave non-Cuban cigar was the Jaime Garcia Hawaiian Exclusive...it came in a unique vitola...kinda like a panatela.

Palama snatched a box for me before they sold out, another act of generosity by my BFAM.

They actually called it a Lancero, despite it’s 6 x 46 size! [gonzo]

But yah, it is / was THE best Jamie Garcia / My Father cigar I’ve ever had. They were great ROTT but after a year or two they settled down and became something really special.
