My first one. The cigar was excellent. I really liked the Corojo wrapper look and feel and taste and draw and burn. So good. A little pricy but very good, I'll buy them again. I was looking around and other Dominicans with Dominican Corojo wrapper and binder and a little sweetness are the Caldwell The King Is Dead and La Aurora Preferidos Gold. I think I'll have to try a box of each. They look and sound good. Have you tried them? Any other recommendations?

LFD uses some corojo wrappers on some of their blends. I’ve always enjoyed most LFD cigars.

I've never read anything that said the LC wrapper was Corojo, where'd you see that? 🤔

I did see this one description online:

Tobacco is planted early in the year and harvested in springtime. In order to provide Garcia’s desired backdrop, the Fuentes decided to plant a summer Corojo crop purely for use as a setting in the film. The plants grew, the scenes were filmed (take a look here halfway down the page to see one), and that was that. While The Lost City may not have succeeded as well as Garcia had hoped as a film, the throwaway tobacco surprised everyone in the best way.

I searched "opus x lost city cigar" and the first few sites you find list the wrapper corojo. I didn't know anything about them other than the story about the movie scene until I picked up a few at the local shop and searched around to learn more.
