several years ago there seemed to be a common complaint here regarding draw being impeded by the above.
I remember picking at light color woody stems to fix the cigar I was smoking at the time.
I'm pretty sure whistlebritches even carried needle nose pliers with him to deal with it.

Seems that, at least to me, this never happens anymore.

Have I just been smoking brands that have solved the problem or are there still some that have this issue?

Yah, I'm bored.

Pete Johnson addressed the twig stick debate some time ago, stating that the twigs carry a lot of nicotine and that they are often part of the blend. I buy that I guess, but I like neither twigs nor super strong smokes….so there’s that.

I saw the title and thought it was a noob complaining about some homegrown he was sold.

I deal with stems on the regular. I usually use a punch, and I think that makes it easier for me to feel stems. Never thought of needle noses. I'm gonna try that.

My biggest construction complaint lately has been overfilled / improperly bunched cigars. I get way more of those than underfilled or plugged.

I'm more concerned about other things, like tarp fragments and bird feathers, Haven't found any of those in several years, fortunately,
