fairly typical modern country song... my understanding is that the outrage is more over the combination of song and video. however, i have paid little attention. in the vid he is standing in front of a courthouse which was the site of famous lynching or something. while talking about possibly lynching (up to the interpretation of the lyrics) you for the actions he deems unacceptable in the song... including some protected by the constitution.

I'm no country music fan but LEFTIES have gone apoplectic with rage over Jason Aldean's anti-Jacobin crime music video. They say he's inciting violence against them by showing peaceful protesting clips from the Summer of Love, like arson, looting, and assault.

Ya, and they are MAD about showing that Maury County Courthouse in Columbia, Tennessee where a black man was lynched in 1927. The funny thing is they can selectively remember a violent act that occurred almost 100 years ago, but they don't want to be reminded of the acts of violence that their mobs did yesterday.

And what enrages them even more is the song has rocketed to #1 on ITUNES.

Song's been out for awhile now. Not sure what took so fkn long for the outrage to manifest itself.

Been hearing it on SiriusXM for months on The Highway.

I believe his message is aimed at the rioters in Portland and other cities like that. The people in those cities did absolutely nothing to stop the BS and if they tried that sheit in a small town... I think they'd get some serious pushback. So, he's not wrong.
