Weather has been so bad here, its currently 19 degrees and there is simply no way to sit outside and smoke. No amount of heaters or layers is gonna make it pleasant.
Its been over a week!! Im dying.

Be a man! Go open the bathroom window, sit on the toilet ,and smoke. If somebody wants in, tell them you have diarrhea. (that always gets rid of them, and they don't ask questions)

I have a wood stove out in my shed. 12x24. I light it then go back inside. By the time I’m “ready” to smoke it’s nice.

Weather sucks here too. Have to go to cigar lounge. Luckily I live 2 miles from it.
What is shpo?

Shpo is like romusto Once upon a time misspelling, now purposely misspelled, that has gotten traction for some reason

You know that’s not the worst idea I’ve ever heard. 🤔

It's too cold to sit outside and relax with weather like this. We have a walk out basement with a wood stove so it's toasty down here. I used to stand or sit next to the door with it cracked open to let the smoke out but now I just light up without opening the door. There are 10 foot ceilings in the basement so plenty of space for the smoke to float around in. The humidifier and air purifier stir it all up so it's not bad and better than some cigar lounges or bars of yore.

This thread reminded me of this:

I haven’t been to a lounge since I stopped working in NYC and commuting. I’m not exactly a social person so sitting in a room with strangers is not really something I enjoy but I may have to

Most friends were once strangers. Only one way to get over that.

I always have some Nubs, Short Stories, and lately Breakfast Tacos on hand for these exceptionally cold days. All are enjoyable without taking to much time.

Living in southern California, I can have a cigar any day...every day...on the patio in my backyard...but...

To enhance my smoking pleasure, I've converted a single third car garage into a man cave...it's got an air conditioner for nights above 80's...and for very cold nights in low 60's and below, a small space heater... exhaust fans and air filter...my comfy cigar cocoon

not tryna rub it in, but just pushing back on all the Cali hate expressed in some corners ...there are plenty of benefits in this state

It was from years ago here on the forum. Obvious miss type (shpo vs shop) from some person kinda bragging that his shpo protected him and he was able to get high price cigars for lower prices.

Paraphrasing "My shpo protects me." As you said, it gained traction and the forum folks ran with it. It was a pretty funny thread and sort of established itself into Hall of Fame of Cbid forum.

The 98.2% is also a random Cbid made up statistic. Someone posted it on some topic of some sort and the folks ran with it and it also has been added to any random Cbid forum statistic.

I'm 98.2% sure that your local shpo has any cigar that you want at a cheaper price since they protect you.

Here in East Texas it has been unusually cold, much like most places right now. I haven’t had to stop smoking yet. I did smoke one in 14 degree weather sitting in the sunshine. I’ve got the Carhart shirt-jacket / horse blanket layered, a scarf, gloves, a hat. Takes 10 minutes to get dressed lol

I have a heated garage with recliner and TV. Haven't been able to smoke since Christmas ish because annual work drug test includes nicotine and last year I was positive for cotinine for smoking about 10days prior and they sent it out for quantitative, came back at 16 the cutoff is 20.

I can't wait for Saturday. Piss n blood test at 9am. Then I'm free to smoke for another year.

What are the consequences for being nicotine positive? I haven’t heard that it is illegal.
