You should also let the cigars rest in your humidor for a few weeks to dry them out. I've found that most on-line vendors store their product at 70 RH or above... too high. This produces "wet" cigars that seem plugged. You can check the RH of your just delivered cigars by putting them into a ziplock bag with a hygrometer. Let sit overnight, and check the RH.

Most guys here swear by RH in the high 50's to low 60's. For plugged cigars stored at this range of RH, the PerfecDraw tool works wonders.

which brands? sometimes could be roll too tight leading to bad draw but could also be too wet and need to dry out a bit if they're on the soft side.
