Back in early 2018 I bought a box of ten Gordos online. It was the only cigar the Raices Cubanas factory made with their own name. They made cigars for other brands, especially Alec Bradley. In 2013. Alec Bradley agreed to distribute the 1941s. Apparently, they only made them for a short time. I was familiar with the factory name and the price was right in 2018 when I noticed them on sale at a favorable price, so I bought a box. I tried one or two and thought they were a good cigar at the price point being offered, but they only had Gordos. A short while after buying the box I saw someone selling the Gordos in five packs and ordered two of them. After smoking a few and gifting a few, I am now down to 2 from the box of ten but still have the two five packs. Out of curiosity, I went on an internet search for Raices Cubanas. Apparently when Alec Bradley stopped distributing them, a well-known online retailer in South Florida bought up the inventory. They list for far above what I paid. Very few other places have any remaining in stock. I did, however, find out that Raices Cubanas has recently released a new line in their own name. I have no idea who may be carrying them. www.raicescubanas.com I am wondering how old the existing inventory of the 1941 blend are. These may be ten-year-old cigars at this point, and I think aging creates better cigars in medium to full cigars. Has anybody seen the new Raices Cubanas blends anywhere?
