So I was bidding on a certain cigar that had 15 lots and noticed based on location, initials and all bids at the same time….

some person is bidding 3 different times on the same lot! huh? He/she is winning 3 times for 2 lots each..

Why do this?

Is it legitimate?

Seems iffy to me but…. I noticed it was not just one dude but happened to be 3 people doing that…..

Maybe they decided after bidding on 2 they wanted more. Or maybe it's a tactic to get 2 as cheap as they can.

I'm wondering if it's a retailer trying to hide that they are a retailer by not bidding on too many lots at once. I mean, they could have just bid on all the lots in that auction with one account but seem to want to hid it.
