Just got a new steel target, never shot steel before. Taking my brother and daughter out to take a test run, also have my paper stand, a gallon jug for the big bore and a 1 lbs tannerite to try out.

Chances of rain are for short bursts, so not quite sure what cigar to bring. Bigger ring gauge is probably better in bad weather but if it’s bad bad I’ll have to put it out.

We’re only shooting pistols at steel today. If I enjoy is I may get a dueling tree kit to build.

Fun times!

Safety Karen says: Don't get too close to the steel. The splatter is a serious hazard.

I love ringing steel. I've got several plates hanging out in the woods I can shoot from my back deck. Even more fun with suppressed 22. Click, bong.

He has a shooting range with over 100 targets up to
150 yrds at least...
When ever he shoots it sounds like a baha marimba band...
Plus he loves to shoot full liter bottles of GRUB ASS CHEAPO SODA
AND CINDER BLOCKS..

HE GETS FREE AMMO FROM AMMO COMPANY SPONSORS...

I could use an ammo sponsor….damn .450 Bushmaster is pushing me into the poorhouse feeding it.

Blew of two milk jugs though running 250 grain Hornady FTX bullets hitting at 2,200 fps.

But we only ran pistol calibers at the steel, 9mm, 45 apc and .357 mag. It says rifle rated further than 50 yards, we didn’t have space where we were at given the conditions. We had a 1 lbs tannerite but with the wind and snow we held off on that.

Daughter got a migraine but loved her PCC suppressed with the new KAK enhanced buffer system, with 150 grain subs it’s a soft kitty.

Sounds like a lot of fun, with exception of the migraine. Maybe double u on hearing protection, ear plugs and muffs.

Reloading is the answer to feeding that .450 Bushmaster. Until I gave it to one of my sons, I reloaded for a .50 Beowulf. Those big straight walled cases are easy to do and heavy solid copper or bronze "Phillips head" projectiles are awesome.

I run Underwood ammo with Lehigh XTreme defender bullets, local gun shop that helped me break loose the barrel nut on the PCC uses Maker bullets in his .459 socom. Amazing rounds.

Yeah getting to that point. Never reloaded before though and the cost isn’t too exciting these days.

I compete in Precision Rimfire shooting. NRL 22, PRS, and PRO. We shoot 22 rifles out to crazy distances (sometimes to 500 yards) shooting steel targets from all kinds of crazy barricades. Subsonic ammo is preferred. Good optic is a must. Rifles vary a lot. I'm on the lower end shooting a Tikka T1X with an Athlon Midas Tac 6-24X and Eley Match ammo. I know several competitors with $6-8K in their rigs. Not me! I have other places to burn money. Still a ton of fun.

To be 100% honest, it will probably not save you much money, but you will be able to shoot more and make ammo your rifles/pistols like.
