any opinions?

never had one that I recall, thought they were discontinued.
Asking strictly about the ones in the OP, not any other line they have out currently.

Thanks in advance

I love them. My favorite after the fuego line. I didn't know they was available here in the US. It was/is an overseas release. If you have information otherwise, please share with me

Edit: they are available here in US as a event only cigar. Just not for purchase.

I have a couple that I got in a special from the Daily place. Bought some Alma del Campo and got a 6-cigar upgrade that had three of these. I smoked one and wasn't all that impressed, but they were toros and it's been a while, and I should try another one soon. I got those May of last year.

I smoked a toro tonight. I hadn't had a cigar in two days, so my palate was somewhat fresh, BUT I had salami and pepperoni and spicey mustard with spicey pickles for dinner, so my mouth was a little scorched.

Overall, it was better than I remember. It started with a blast of spice and ligero that, combined with my scorched mouth, meant I couldn't taste much, but after a half dozen puffs it calmed down. Rich, moderately sweet, a tad of earth but not much. It was good. I had some burn problems with it not wanting to stay lit given the pace I was setting, which was a little annoying, but not overly distracting.

I like their cigars. They have a depth, a richness, that I often do not find with the standard Nicaraguan profile. It's hard to describe other than saying richer and deeper. To use a sound analogy, the standard Nic profile often seems to me to lack bass. It's treble heavy. Plasencias have bass.

That was pretty damn quick considering it was in Budapest a couple of days ago.

budget cuts at Customs?

I keed, I keed.

Nicely packaged too. Never bought anything other than Cubans from them before, and that was a few years ago.
Not sure what's going on but they can no longer ship Cuban cigars to my location...not that I'm buying.
