I have about 300 cigars in my humidors hailing from several countries, but recently I noticed that the bulk of the cigars I smoke come from Nicaragua-Joya de Nicaragua,Flor de Olivia,CAO Gold,Mayorga and of course, Padrons.For some reason the cigars made in Nicaragua I enjoy most but I can't quite place the common flavor...Floral...Perfumey...I am not sure.Does anyone know what I am talking about?- I realize its a rather obtuse question.

They are indeed different tasting smokes. Much stronger in flavor and fuller aromas than recent years. Mayorga is a kick ass maduro for the cash. ($40 for a box of Maduros. You mentioned Flor de Oliva. I'll share a little secret. Thier Grand Cameroon box pressed maduro is the sweetest Nicaraguan out there for under $2.00. I bought a box for $47 and they were gone within the week. I shared them of course.

check that, the grand Cameroon is obviously not a maduro. My bad.

Wow...Where did you find the Flor de Oliva Grand Cameroon box pressed?Its not exactly easy these cigars anywhere.I have only had the Diademas and short torpedos.

My local tobacco shop. I have never seen these on line. As a matter of fact, after the e-mail I smoked one. Wonderful. Meier, can you hunt these puppies down? I'm sure you can make this happen. Robustos are the way to go.

I agree completely. I find myself enjoying the smokes from Nicaragua the best particularly Padron and the Perdomo Reserves. Great flavors, construction, and draw. I thought it was just me but apparently not.

Tgordon, I agree those Padrons are good. Try any other Nicaraguans lately?
