I AM FAIRLY NEW TO THE CIGAR SCENE AND HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS. (1). WHAT DOES ISOM MEAN? (2) I HAVE A HUMIDOR THAT I FEEL DOES NOT HAVE A GOOD HUMIDIFIER AND WOULD LIKE TO GET A BETTER ONE. IT IS A 30 CIGAR HUMIDOR AND I HAVE THE ORIGINAL HUMIDIFIER, PLEASE ADVISE. (3) I HAVE BEEN TO SPAIN AND I AM PLANNING ON GOING AGAIN, I WOULD LIKE TO BUY THE BEST CIGARS TO BRING BACK, I AM MILITARY SO GETTING THEM BACK IS NOT A PROBLEM. I HAVE SMOKED COHIBA, ESPLENDIDO, CORONA ESPECIALUS, AND THE ROBUSTO, MONTE CRISTO #2 AND ONE THAT I COULD NOT TELL YOU WHAT WAS. A FEW PARTAGAS AND A FEW BOLIVAR. IF SOMEONE WOULD HELP IT WOULD BE A GREAT B;LESSING TO ME AND MY FUTURE CIGAR SMOKING VENTURES AND MAYBE A CIGAR OR SO TO YOU FROM SPAIN.

http://fujipub.com/cigar/humidors.html  has a list of several humidor sites. Sam's Warehouse often has a nice 50 cigar-size humidor for $29. This is the best deal I have found. Also, a big cooler is adequate for your boxed cigars, hold the temp and humidity well, and inexpensive too....Not too easy to look at though. Just put in a humi-device or a soap dish filled with water and possibly some 50-50 solution. As for the cubans, check the gettin sum/ got some strings below. I am not that experienced but find the montes to be superb, if pricey....almost impossible to tell if counterfeit though. ISOM = Island South of Miami. I'll let you guess which one.

I would suggest the Montecristo #2 and the Cohiba Esplendido and Siglo IV (but you know that already). I'd also suggest Romeo y Julieta (any size) and the Sancho Panza. I've heard that the Jose L. Piedras were really good and the price was even better.

Be careful bring Habanos back into the United States. I am also military and a couple of my soldiers were searched by customs upon return (aboard a militry aircraft) and guess what showed up in their personal baggage and was subsequently confiscated. Luckily no charges or fines were levied. My advice, unless you travel under diplomatic passport, remove the bands.
