I Stated:
I could have sworn Adroomi.. you stated at one time you were once Enlisted and a crew chief on a chopper in the army? when did you become officer? and what OTS did you attend?

I guess I'll toss up the Bull**** flag here... correct me where needed!

Hog, Adroomi explained it all to me once. He was an enlisted special forces then went into aviation. He was sent to college by the army and they made him a Special Forces officer and then an aviation officer.
He spent his entire adult life in Asia except for the several years shooting wolves in Alaska. He was awarded purple hearts for wounds received during both a static line jump and a HALO jump in combat. Somehow he managed to squeeze in flying President Bush around Kuwait, bedding down the ambassador’s daughter (in the same weekend he tossed the f bomb at the president and slept with some babe in the Bush 41 administration) in the back of the ambassador’s limo and earned a few PhDs while simultaneously in his spare time writing several books before sending the last several years as a multimillionaire executive in the aircraft industry.

Why is that hard to believe from a guy that lives to post on a discount cigar forum?

Have a little faith wilya?

I typed it in my best phony ass Garrison Kieller voice just for you JonR. (c;

I listened to him as a kid. He must have went to the Tim Robbins school of effected (or is it affected?) accents after leaving Minnesota.

Christ Hog, is Jesus speaking through you to try and troubleshoot me, or is that some other entity perhaps?

9 years, 11 months, and 8 days as an enlisted guy (E-1 thru E-6)

Just over 3 years as a commissioned officer, resigning as a Captain.

I went to Basic at Ft. Dix as part of C-4-5 in June of 1986, and earned my commission through the ROTC as part of the Green to Gold program at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.

I served as the S-3 officer for 6 months in Taegu South Korea with the 19th TAACOM (to answer your question). That was my first role as a young (balding and grey) lieutenant.

Total time in Service for pay is just under 14 years.

While on active duty I went from a High School Graduate, and a lowly private, to a Company Commander beginning work on a PhD.

Care to know how big my d*ck is too?

It's amazing what a motivated and driven individual can do when he/she puts the tools that Uncle Sam gives him/her to use and TRIES to make something of themselves, eh?

I'm glad I served, and I'm even more glad that I used my GI bill and educational benefits to pay for and earn two graduate degrees.

My enlisted time taught me to work, and by time as an officer taught me to manage.

What do you have to show for your time in service by the way?

Rugrunner,
Please quote where I told you any of that.

By the way, I donated some canned goods to the Minnesota Red Cross for the "needy family" baskets. Did you enjoy the yams?

well that should cover it..

I apologize for not following your threads close enough to see you went on through officers school and became commissioned.

I recalled a post where you talked about being a crew chief on Helo's and posted a pic of a chopper one time in the past...

Don't sweat it Hog.

We all need to get troubleshot sometimes I guess.

I was in fact a Flight Engineer on MH-47E's with the 160th Special Opns as an enlisted guy, and I flew for the majority of my career.

I enjoyed the Army and am thankful for the opportunities that it gave me.

As for my duty assignments, I was assigned to Korea, Oklahoma, Alaska, and Georgia, but in the SOF I spent most of my time in Asia and Southeast Asia (about 9 months out of the year, every year).

"What do you have to show for your time in service by the way?"

Time in Service with Honorable for right now... we'll see when my case gets back through the AF Board of Corrections shortly...

You can read my book when it's published to know about my time in service ;0)

Now I can see why your no longer in service.. officers who think their **** don't stink don't last... because their always looking out for themselves and thats not what the leadership and code of ethics is all about in the military.. but you know that...

Well Gee, you sure do have some angst in you don't you?

Actually Hog, I submitted my resignation after completing my 3 year committment and decided to use my brains and motivation for something to benefit ME for a change.

I served quite honorably for almost 14 years, go the ribbons and awards, got the combat patch and the air medals, and a few bumps and bruises, and am now doing what I enjoy.....and I'm NOT sitting in the sandbox in a GP Medium playing with IED's.

Tell me again....why exactly did YOU get out?

JJ,
Did it ever occur to you that whenever JonR and Rugrunner are sucking my d*ck, you're the one stroking my b*lls?

Like the three stooges......post a thread with the name "adroomi" in it, and you're all three there like cats to fresh milk.

You're post was a non-value add.

As a six-sigma guy, you should realize that you are not needed on this thread.

:)

Oh contraire Mr Pumpkin Breath, I feel my post adds a great deal of value to this thread and I'm quite sure there are many others here that will agree with me. LOL
