Medium to full bodied ... but not harsh. Toasty, leathery and well-constructed, with a good draw and even burn. This is one of the best examples of the Cuban robustos.

It will give you an hour of great pleasure with volumes of smoke. The taste is of spice and nuts with coco mixed in ... and its a powerhouse of a cigar.

So sit down and have a nice drink and puff away ... because I guarantee you will go after another one when that one is done.

A truly great smoke. One of the best cigar investments you will make is to buy a box and burn the last one 5 years later. They will be good pretty quickly but age then to magnificence.

Well, I got my box of these babies and I'm tickled pink. It's my 1st full box of ISOMs. When I popped the seals and opened the box the smell was wonderful. After oh so carefully punching the cap I fired one up. Admittedly, my tastes aren't as refined as some posters here. It tasted like a Hemmingway Signature but much more intense and without the sweet overtones. It burned perfectly with a straight ash that looked like a white/grey sculpture of the original.

THL, did you get to choose based on box codes? What was the box code on yours? Interesting to know as when I've ordered in the past, I was not given a choice and am now having to let my ISOMs hibernate for at least another 8 months.

jd1, no I didn't. As I said, this is my 1st full box so I'm new to this stuff. My box is stamped "MAR-02" on the bottom. There's another group of markings too:
La Casa del Habano
5 TA Y 16
Miramar Habana Cuba

Is any of this significant?

I tried 'em and I love 'em. Want more!

Thanks, Slim. The full code is E.A.T. MAR02. I had omitted the "EAT". According to that website my box was produced March, 2002 at the Francisco Pérez Germán, formerly Partagás factory in Havana. So these cigars have been aged almost a year, correct? How long before they achieve full potential?

A year is good ... longer is better (if you can wait, that is) ...

In 2 or 3 years, they will be at their peak (but that is just my opinion) ... but that is pretty hard to do!

The true test will be in how they taste to you ...

Sorry, it's an ISOM Partagas limited Edition Number 3 and it's worth doing unspeakable things for... Just lit it and it is AWESOME!!!!
