John Walker should have been executed. Sergeant Asan Akbar, has done an act, which is much worse.

The trial and sentencing should be swift. Maybe it would stop other possible acts like this, if we show no mercy at all. Just my opinion.

Rick: I disagree. I think he was the victim of an oppressive society in America, who as a minority, was the victim of abuses and mistreatment (he only got two BA's from UC Davis), to the point he felt compelled to change his birth name to a more respected Muslim name. We should feel compassion for this poor, down trodden, underprivileged individual by putting him into a nice comfortable, cushy, Federal jail cell (preferably Club Fed) for thirty years, television, ping pong, library, and conjugal visits included!!!!!
