I'm curious, is a reduction in an increase a cut? Rick? I am VERY interested in your views on this one, so please respond. Let me give you an example. If you're making 50,000 a year, and last year, and the year before and the year before you received a 10% raise, and this year, since times are harder, you only received a 5% raise, did you take a pay cut?

The part I don't understand is, the congress creates programs. They vote increases in the programs. God forbid that they EVER actually eliminate "a program" (that would be evil). So what do they do? They continue to grow the programs... So when they want to save some money here or there, what to do? what to do? Hey! Rick, any President would have had to back off a little here and there with increases, since 9/11 and the war.

Are you going to blame Bush for these GIANT unexpected security costs, the War, and the recession due to 9/11, the near colapsed airline industry, the lack of tourism which has hurt every major city?

These problems would be there for any president in office right now. Logically you need to make some sacrifices here and there. 9/11 has changed this country and is going to change the world, as far as terrorism goes.

What good are these increases anyway if we arent alive to use them. National Security at this time is #1 priority.
