This is about cigar trading! I see a few posts on the trades board recently and people talking about "their first".

My first was a very memorable experience!:-) I look back on it with VERY fond memories, even though it's just been a few short months. It seems like longer, but the experience is indelibly etched on my psyche.

I had just been turned on to Cigar Bid. I had been posting my brains out and really having a good time!! But I felt the gentle tug of “the trades board”. As the oceans to the moon, I felt an irresistible pull. Curious at first, reading the posts, then wondering what it would feel like, to send and receive cigars to and from someone who was otherwise almost completely a stranger!

So I put a post out there, and got a bite! It was Smithbw!! Weee! How could anyone be so lucky!!?? He was so gentle, so experienced. He reassured me that it would be alright and that I would have no regrets the next day. I had a coquettish shy nature about the whole process, but through persistent gentle pressure he finally broke through my defenses…

Well I must say, it was breathtaking! I didn't know what to expect, I mean, oh I'd heard the other's talk about how good it was. How could I have imagined the pleasure! Oh God!! The pleasure!! yes! Yes! YES!!!

Well now I'm hooked. My wife says, "I'm glad you're not buying boxes of cigars anymore, but the shipping is getting a little steep!" GUILTY! Addicted!!

And I owe it all to Billy. It was like Strawberry wine...

My cherry? Why I believe it was you Robby that got my trade cherry when you posted about the cupido`s and the faint hint of sugar!!!

oh, and that MM I smoked the other night made every minute worth it! LOL

Damn Robby! Anybody got a tissue? Gimme a wipeoff! My first was Rickamaven. Saved me from having a 10 pack of Poderozos moldering in the humidor. He sent me smokes that were better than the Poderozos. It was good! I've had more than a few trades since. I am happy to say I have never had a bad trade. Nothing but good folks as far as the eye can see.

I stared off trading with three people the first time, cayman2b, lowman665, and Phat Man. I was really excited about the possibilities of a trade and dove right in with three of them!

My first was jamesconnors. He posted that he was looking for a certain cigar that I just so happened to have.
He was gentle and it was a memorable experience.
I am guilty of introducing him to the Avo 22. I got him hooked but they are very hard to find... Sorry JC...

My first trade wasn't on this board. However, my first trade on this board was a pain in the @ss. It was with some lady who lambasted me on the board because the post office delayed the payment I sent her. Had she waited a few days all would have been fine. Later she appologized when she looked at the post mark day of the check.

Oh yeah, this is about trades. I believe my first trade was with melski. I guess it went okay, because I've sure made a lot of trades since.

I had the old bait and switch pulled on me...
I tried to get in on a trade with one member (sorry, I've forgotten your name) but by the time I emailed him he had finished his trade. Striplett then emailed me asking if this same guy was all right to trade with. I explained the scenario and that we didn't do the trade but if he wanted to get in on a trade, I'd be happy to help out.
So Striplett became my first by default.

Of course Rickamaven has my first Free cigars Cherry. He made me a nice newbie pack when I first joined this board. Thanks Rick.
