kind of a breakdown of what the previous humidor costs have been, where to purchase the materials and hardware etc..

I can post a link to the pictures as well.. Not tonight though..

When I say Cabinet Humidor Construction I'm talking about strickly the 4'x8' sheeting and also links to thicker shelving Spanish Cedar.. you may be able to find this cheaper locally? but I doubt it..

I'd also like to Add... Bob Staebell Builds some Fantastic "Heirloom" Humidors...

I think the guy needs to be a cigar smoker to understand the entire concept of what a/the humidor is all about??

Nice looking woods... but let me/us see his construction technique...

one of our very own also builds humidors and has some nice ones... haven't seen him posting on the forum in years??

I'll say this again... a Craftsman cannot make a living trying to compete with the cheaper ($$dollar wise) humidors that are out there...

Folks would rather save their cash for cigars and buy cheaper humidors to put them in.. including igloodor's/coolerdor`s or whatever means they can hook up (Myself Inculded) to keep their cigars stored and regulated properly...

All I can say to anyone.. if your looking for a quality Keepsake Hairloom for your cigars... do your homework well...

When you do this, is there anything to stay away from? types of glue?
What about using a furniture grade plywood that would be wrapped inside with the cedar and the outside with a veneer?
I have never built a humidor but have lots of experience with building and cabnitry

I use tite bond III when I build desktops...

I would also shy away from Plywood's (just my personal opinion)

a Humidor has the stress factor of the outside and inside humidity's to deal with.. ply able woods have allot more breathing/giving room then solid hardwoods would have... your risk factor of future air leaks or spliting all together are greater with ply able woods... just MPO...

This does not include if your interior is lined with a ply able 1/4" Spanish Cedar lined plywood listed above... I've built many shelves and trays for folks without any complaints and that only has to deal with one humidity factor..
