Starting in on chazbos number 3. Another toro, this time without the neutering. Note: I've been drinking since 8am, might be long winded.
Medium-dark wrapper, uneven color, poorly capped. Cold draw gives me nothing, just dry tobacco leaf.
First light: bitter cocoa, tree bark. Excessive cap glue I suspect, my lips stick to the head... yup, wiped my mouth on my flannel sleeve and got lint stuck to my lips.
Pretty quickly making its strength known with a lump in my throat despite a very full stomach. Flavor is unremarkable, still a bit of bitter cocoa and tree bark. Very heavy tannin-like flavor, dry. Finish is bitter, dry, but long. Not bad. Several times stronger than I like, but it's decent.
Boutta inch in now, flavors the same, still full power. Finish is longer, less dry. Still a bit of tannin, cocoa, bitter wood. Not terribly unlike number 2, but suspect this has more age, no green flavor.
Halfway, unchanged. Full power. A bit more bitter initially, though the finish is sweeter. Same overall profile. Cocoa and wood.
Smoking to the end, it's finishing overall sweet with a cocoa and wood flavor, still full /full, and less dry finish. If I liked full power cigars, I'd like this one more. Got it down to an inch after an hour 30.
So, what was it? Can't venture a guess, don't think I've had this or similar before. At least not that I've smoked this long.
