You see race when it doesn't matter.
People disliked candidate Obama because he's a liberal democrat.
But you see him as a black man, so that MUST be the reason.
Race baiters count their black friends, because the number matters to them.
We can talk all day about the birther phenomena.
The rumors about his social security card being fake.
The delay in getting his birth certificate.
How his admission form to Harvard is under lock and key.
And lots of other things that supposedly "proved" he wasn't born in Hawaii.
Never once did I consider this stuff was based on his skin color.
And never once did you think it wasn't.
Your entire argument is full of problems.
1 - you have a VERY interesting perspective that only conservatives would question the origin of birth of a candidate... note you stated "people disliked candidate obama because he's a liberal democrat"... I mean... that's a really weird way of looking at all our presidents as a whole. ... Is he liberal... sure. But there were a lot more people who liked him (many because of that) than disliked him, seeing as he won 2 terms and was pretty popular when he left office among those who voted for him. So your initial statement that he was somehow targeted for this (more than other presidents) because of his liberal democrat stance presupposes that only one side of the aisle would even question a candidates birth.
1.5 - If you question a candidate, and then later a president's BIRTH ORIGIN because you don't like their politics, then you're an idiot. That statement right there means that you aren't going to question a candidate you support's origin of birth. While I'm not surprised, it's a really sh$tty excuse to make and essentially admits that you are just playing a game pretending to care about birth certificates.
2 - You seem to think "quantity" of birther rumors somehow implies that there is any validity to believing them. There isn't. A half a second look at what you count as "rumors" shows that they are only rumors if someone wants to believe in them. I could start 20 weak rumors like that about you today... these are supremely stupid hoaxes with no grounding in reality. To claim that there is some validity simply because of volume is insane. To think people should be excused for believing it simply because there are a lot of them is unacceptable. It is permitting our populace to be actively and purposely ignorant and extraordinarily vulnerable to anyone with 100 bots and a creative writing streak.
3 - When I see people being that purposely ignorant I assume there is a purpose. You didn't question Clinton's birth origin (Hillary or bill) they are both liberal democrats. You never questioned Gore's birth certificate or college transcript. He's as liberal as you get. No one questioned Reagan or Bush Sr (I'll give you a pass on jr), they aren't liberal democrats but I call BS on your belief that it has to be a liberal democrat.
4 - Where do you think this sh#t starts anyway? After it's begun, sure dupes get suckered into believing it because they aren't real bright and someone makes up a bunch of rumors and they think quantity = quality.... but why do you think it begins? It doesn't begin until someone says "Hey! I want a birth certificate from that guy! Something seems different about him... " Sure... maybe it's the name. Maybe it's skin color. But something caused a person to ask questions about him which they didn't ask about other candidates. But there you are just making excuses... "I don't think it was because of his skin color! I think it was because there were so many false rumors about his birth certificate!"... rumors which just magically appeared.
You would of had a leg to stand on if people had dropped this when he produced his birth certificate...
but they didn't. They fueled the rumors... they made new ones... they demanded proof of citizenship from him beyond that which they demanded of any other president before him. And one of the ringleaders is now president. And coincidentally is adored by the nazis and kkk of our country... (not a racist! But #1 with racists!)
It isn't a coincidence that this birther sh#t was widely supported by open racists.
