We will see if she doesn’t get bored. She’s can always go to work at NASA, SpaceX, SLA, or Blue Origin. That would be fun.

Mornin danm, Ram and youse guys. A cool 43 out there but going to 68 and sunny. Coffeeing up for a meander soon.

Thinking of buying a Bronco. Problem is who would it belong to? Wife has always wanted one ever since I bought her a Land Rover as a 50th birthday present. We only kept that one a few years because it always had some kind of problem and was in the shop for warranty work constantly. The new Bronco that came out a few years ago looks good but our hard core 4-wheeling days are mostly behind us so it would be just a grocery getter 98.2% of the time. Think

Morning, All.
24 with a wc of 18.
Heading up north to check on mom and my aunt who had hip surgery.
Targeting 90 minutes in each local and home by midafternoon
At least that is the plan.

Being retired I prolly don't put more than 5-6K miles on it each year so not a big concern. And we have another car that gets 30+ mpg to use for short trips anyway.

Jewels had 2lb bags of 20/30 shrimps for $12 and BOGO on pickled herring.

Didn't have St Elmos cocktail sauce so I had to go to meijers too.

Christmas party for my side on Saturday. I was gonna bring the tamales I made last week but my mom said only bring sides and snacks. Probly will still bring tamales tho, cause I like tamales a lot more than whatever unseasoned well done beef roast is on the menu.

BYOT (Bring Your Own Tamales). Sounds like a solid plan in my book.

When I worked in Tucson, all the older hispanic women in the building would make tamales around the holidays and sell them at the office by the dozen. Man I miss those tamales.

A fog rant.

The trend of making commercials for products which are minute long musicals has got to end. JP Wentwoth Cash Settlements, Verizon or T-Mobile, ballet and singing, and the worst offender that Jardiance commercial, where this woman sings and dances seemingly forever about lowering her A1C.

Here’s the truth sister. If you REALLY had that much energy, and moved around that much each day, you wouldn’t go two-fitty, nor would you need to pump this side effect loaded poison into your system.

And of course …

Get …. Off …. My …. Lawn.

Exactly why I pay for the advertisement free Hulu, Discovery+ and on Prime, nothing with advertisements.

I'm old and have no time to be wasted watching inane commercials.

And two fiddy? You're being nice, Russ. I was 179 this morning and that lady is easily TWO of ME, nevermind two fiddy.

And I 100% agree with your complaints. fog

I agree too, with the exception that morbid obesity and/or heart problems **may** tip the scale (see what I did there?) in favor of the drugs vs. risks.

I've also mentioned this before... only the USA and New Zealand allow pharmaceutical companies to advertise. I do NOT think we should allow it. But that's just me.

I disagree, but do believe they should be heavily regulated. I think think they the can alert people of options to discuss with their doctors.

The little dog has chit in the house 4x today already. She's been outside but I think cause it's cold she's just doing it indoors. Probly putting her down soon. Physically she's as good as ever. 13 years old still moves like she's 3. But she gets lost in the house, has been progressively getting more violent, and typically she chits once a day in the basement and the rest outside but it's once downstairs once in the kitchen on a typical day. 4x today.

Lazy day with wife:

Paint store to pick color of the cabinets for the rehab of the kids' bathrooms.
Walmart for a couple groceries.
Nice (odd) visit with my mom.
Swam 800 yards hard and fast.
Home by 2pm.
Wearing pajamas for the rest of the day.

Similar. Most of the cable I watch is on the dvr. Favorite feature on the TDS streaming service- can go back 30 minutes in time, watching from there I can fast forward through the commercials.

Can you imagine the length of a doctor’s visit if you asked your doctor about every drug you see on tv that tells you to Ask Your Doctor About….

You’d die of old age before you got out of the clinic.

And who's going to regulate it? The gov't? They're all in big pharma's pockets... which is why they are allowed to advertise.

There's NO reason for it. Pharma already gives doctor's kickbacks for prescribing their crap... which should be illegal.

Actually, yes you did. You need to ketchup. Ebay and other 3rd party seller prices were crazy over the summer.

However, things seem to be normalizing a bit

In other happy Friday news, I find myself with a spare house this morning. If anyone's interested in relocating or perhaps a summer home, or even a winter home if you're a masochist, Valparaiso translates to Vale of Paradise. Just sayin'.
