How to be a Despot for Dummies, Lesson One

Regulate things instead of making them illegal in the name of "Protecting Their Health and Safety". Make small changes over time, and like the frog killed in now boiling water, they will never notice.

George Orwell didn't write fiction-it was prophecy.

Our concerns have been heard! See below..............

Some comments also argued that an exemption for premium cigars is appropriate,
because premium cigars are unique in the way that they are made, marketed, sold, purchased,
and used. They stated that regulation would stifle innovation in the premium cigar market,
devastate a long-time social and cultural phenomenon, and limit the freedoms of businesses and
consenting adults to sell and purchase a legal product.

(Response) FDA understands these concerns. The Agency has determined that cigar use
presents health risks and that all cigars should be brought under its regulatory authority.

Just in time for Cuba. Lol

From the FDA website

Today’s rule also requires manufacturers of all newly-regulated products, to show that the products meet the applicable public health standard set forth in the law and receive marketing authorization from the FDA, unless the product was on the market as of Feb. 15, 2007. The tobacco product review process gives the agency the ability to evaluate important factors such as ingredients, product design and health risks, as well as their appeal to youth and non-users.

Under staggered timelines, the FDA expects that manufacturers will continue selling their products for up to two years while they submit – and an additional year while the FDA reviews – a new tobacco product application. The FDA will issue an order granting marketing authorization where appropriate; otherwise, the product will face FDA enforcement.

Think
So, for the short term...............not too much will change.........especially with the coming lawsuits that are sure to be filed.

Then, maybe by summer, 2017, there's gonna be some GREAT deals on certain boutique cigars??

Then there's the potential Cuban option...........

Difficult to predict the extent of the fallout on the new operators (started after Feb 15 2007), shpos, cbid, and of course us poor saps.

Any guesses?

And people actually thought the Cuba thing would influence FDA. Give some bureaucrats rule making authority to implement a law - don't expect them to listen to anyone.

No. In fact you'll have to be a member of the Plums in order to still get the cigars after the new regs.

Sooo...tell me again why the marijuana industry isn't being dragged into this?

Oops...I mean...
PROHIBITION WORKS!!! It has a proven track record! Just check the history boo.....wait. Come to think of it, there's no need to check the history books. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

In short, federal policy has created a "circular policy trap that hinders scientific research," according to Hudak and Wallack. Research into medical applications of marijuana is constrained by the Schedule 1 designation. And the plant is designated Schedule 1 because there isn't enough research into medical applications.

Nixon's plan when he made it Schedule 1.
Very similar to the original MJ Tax Act.
You had to have a stamp to possess or deal MJ but the stamps were never made available.

If cigarbid moves to North Carolina
Then I won't have to pay the 6% sales tax...
And I'll FEEL A WHILE LOT F#CKING BETTER
WHEN THEY SHIP MY $183.00
9 pound order over 3+? States for
FREAKING !!!
$24.99
Instead of 100 miles as a crow flies
In Pennsylvania....
(I Could take $12.00-$15.00 BUCKS resistantly...
But $24.99 is gouging, Big time in my book)

I heard you were broke, had no job or savings, and drove a 2000 Malibu with two broken windows.

Maybe get your resume, and car fixed for 183 + shipping.

Look I'm not blaming Barry. I'm pointing out that big government supporters who smoke cigars/pipes are very quiet right now.

So, what I gather from this all is that most of my cigars will be coming from overseas. Well... they mostly do anyway, but even more

I'd rather buy cheap Cigars....

And drink cheap beer
From flea market EARNINGS....

Do some research about
"WORKPLACE MOBBING"...

then make another complete moronic comment like that...

you imbecile...

Getting a job opens you up to
8 hours straight of harrassment ( 40 hours of intense skull-f#cking verbal directed conversation) and WORKPLACE organized gangstalking
In a closed environment, then they frame you into
Theft charges or worse...

Why the F#ck do I need a resume' to put myself into an SSG WET DREAM SCENARIO?
28. Author: sd72Date: Fri, 5/6/2016, 11:19AM EST
Ok. I did my research.

Workplace mobbing is when a group of office workers team up to bully a coworker they dislike for various reasons. Not pulling their weight, being an azzhole, ect. Basically getting losers to quit. Sorry you're a victim of this, I just wonder which you were. An azzhole, lazy or both.

SSG is a highly specialized counter intelligence team within the fbi that works with terrorism suspects, and treason, which they are more known for.

So, having been mobbed, and stalked by an anti treason branch of the fbi, I no longer wonder whether you're a nut job. I'll just assume it from here on out.
