Personally I think Berg was caught up some way with Al'Quida one way or another.. as slim posted above to what the NSA/CIA and other intelegence sources had in question about this Berg and family???
one thing to keep in mind.. it is hard pressed to know who you are actually dealing with in Iraq as far as trusting that goes straight down to the US Military...
less then a month ago I read an article off CBN.com that talked about 2 missionary workers (Christians) in Iraq helping spread the word of God through-out the land.. they (Husband and Wife) were Killed by the very same Iraqi (Christian) counterpart Missionary worker who was to assist them in their work in Iraq...
so who is to say the US Military Trusted the people they possibly turned Mr. Berg over to and thought the man was headed back to the Safety of the United States?? but then learned the next day/week that in fact the same folks they had trusted in the matter "Slapped their Faces" thus someone had to think fast to fix such a blunder??? I wont go into to much more detail as speculation but I will say, one must keep an open mind to all about this issue and many more....
