That is AWESOME! I had the flags flown the other day. Just waiting on him to give me the name of the winner to put on that certificate. I have a feeling I'm going to have to make some room in my make shift Humi. I'm gonna set up a few more airdrops in the next couple of days. Thank you to all who participated in the AZ Herf&Terf.

This is beyond words. Everyone here is so appreciative. I can't even begin to explain it. I did an air drop a couple of days ago to the SOF (Special Operations Forces) that are in the most remote of areas out here. They sent word back today that it was the best thing they've seen on an airdrop yet. They always get gatorade, powerbars, etc.....I dropped 10 sticks each for 3 drops. They absolutely loved it. I intend on putting together more. As long as I have sticks, I'm handing them out and air dropping them. Thank you all so much for the support for over here.

Rich

Thank them for us!

Engletl and Whizzy1....your reciprocation is complete. I have a way to get them to you now. It'll take a couple of days, but they'll be on their way shortly. I hope you like them. To me this is nothing compared to the bomb you dropped on me, so I guess this is my way of "shooting" back.

Per our discussion via email: I have acquired the hygrometers and humidification beads (and containers) along with some cutters and will get them in the mail today. I truly hope this is what you need. If not, drop me an email (if you have access) or post here and I will get you what you want.

Thanks for serving!

I'll be forever in your debt. Drop me a line ANYTIME if you need more supplies. Your Marine's deserve to have smokes, a way to cut them, and secure storage. Let me know if those beads fit the bill for you. If not, I can send something else. You should have the package in a week or so.

DId one more airdrop today for a SpecOps team. Was a combined force. Seals, Recon, Medics. Teams made up about 30 people. Sent out about 40 sticks. Just about cleaned me out, but worth it. I'm working on getting pics of them with their "gift from above". Airdrop guys are trying to get me some so I can post them. (will need some help with that part) Would like to let you all see your gifts in action. Thanks again.

Glad to hear it. It was my pleasure. I haven't seen them yet, but I expect them any day now. It has been taking just over a week for mail to get here. not sure how the 4th holiday will effect it. If it's already out of the country, it won't effect it here at all. We work 7 days a week.

All I can say at this point is HOLY S#IT!!!! I just received, not a bomb, but a NUKE! I just filled my humi, 2 other humis, and 3 large ammo cans. ECR, Engletl, and Matthew (don't know your screen name) I don't know what to say.....I am totally blown away! I am currently packing up airdrops for the next 5 drops, 3 packages, 15 sticks each, and sending about 100 to Camp Leatherneck for some of the Marines up there. I think I could have literally bathed in cigars. Thank you all SO much. I promise you....everyone I can find will be enjoying these.

Not yet....I've actually not had a chance to smoke much of anything lately. We've been very busy. Between work and the class I'm taking online, then the internet going down for a few days, it's been kindof hectic. But, I just finished my mid-term, so I need a stress reliever. I'll have one of those tonight and be sure to let you know how they are.

Rich,

Glad to see you found this place, Todd and these guys have been sending me and my Marines cigars since 2007 in Iraq till my last deployment in afghan that finished up the end of 2010. I really enjoy these guys, their humor and smart azz comments. Where ya at over there? I was at KAF with CEXC. Take care and remember to take a break once in a while, I knocked out 4 college classes on top of all the other stuff EOD had me doing .The people I was with started up poker nights every single Friday to kill some time and relax and we would go through 2-3 smokes a person and would not make a dent in our stash. Take care and if there is anything you need on the military side let me know. I am in oki now so shipping to you is free since its FPO to FPO.

I'm glad I found it too. These guys have been nothing short of phenominal!! I'm at KAF, I'm with the Harrier squadron operating out of here. I'm trying to finish up a class, it's not easy. I just had my mid-terms the other day. Good thing is there's only 3 weeks left in the course. WHEW!!! I did manage to link up with the Army EOD platoon. A few of them smoke. They just got here not long ago and are waiting for their orders to come in so I hooked them up with about 50 sticks to get them started. They all play hold'em and have a pretty nice set up. Nice felt topped table and all. Since you mention it and seein as how you're in Oki, I've been trying to get hold of those wonderful Georgia Coffee's since the last time I was there. I can't seem to get anyone to commit. thay are all FAILURES hence failures at life. LOL! Brother....if you could score me some Georgia Original's you would be my absolute hero. I will pay for them and all. I've got a couple friends there and THEY haven't even hooked me up. Couple of one way b@st@rds!!!!

When I was on KAF I was with CEXC (Combined Explosives Exploitation Cell) We were part of CJTF Paladin. So the place you were talking about playing poker might be the same place I was at, we had a nice felt table that one of the contractors gave us. Did it have a back porch with a big ass tarp, christmas lights all over, and a stereo system hooked up? If so that was my place if not I would suggest making friends over there and I'm sure they will hook you up as well. They are next to the big map depot by the boardwalk and have a big pirate flag flying in the back. I will get on sending ya some Georgia coffee too, what kind ya want? they have the traditional orange can or some of the others.

oh and I think I might have been where you work at now, I did my Brown belt with Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232, so could be in the same area you are now.

Yep, I'm in the same area that -232 was at. So you understand EXACTLY what I'm talking about when I say this is a pain in the A$$! LOL! I will definitely go find that poker spot. I remember the pirate flag, so I know where it's at.Over by "Six Flags". If it's the same, CEXC has moved over right next to the Belgian compound by Camp Roberts. Past the Afg airport on the other side. They just moved in not too long ago and are still "modifying" their new compound.
Brother I would be forever grateful for the "Georgia Original". Like a 2 tone brown and brown'ish-orange can.

They sell it for $1.05/can, and they come in a case of 30. I can grab that for ya, just hopefully they let me send it in the mail. sometimes they are kinda anal about things. That sucks they moved, all that time I spent setting up that computer network! oh well, not my problem anymore lol

Good news and bad news...

Wife mailed your package today, but it was before I could give her detailed instructions. So, I didn't get a delivery confirmation AND she wrote that there was tobacco in the box. Is this going to screw up the shipment? I hope not.

Let me know if it ever gets there.

Rich, Appriciate all you and your team do...got a group tonight coming over with cigars to put together for you and I will get them out ASAP. This is the least we can do, so dont be afraid to ask for anything to make your stay better. Smoke em, share em, but let everyone know that for ever stick you get there are thousands and thousands of americans that are with you. People dont know how hard your job is, till they actually do it. Stay safe and come home soon.

HerfPig,
This is the part of my job that I really enjoy. The part that makes me stick around and keep going. The gratitude that you get from truely genuine and sincere people who really appreciate the gravity of our situation. Regardless of how one may feel about the war, we appreciate the fact that we are thought about and supported by so many.
I will ask this, my boss was supposed to get some cedar so I can put some in with these smokes, but that fell through. If you can swing that and a bottle of cigar juice, that would help tremendously. It's so stinkin dry here I've gone through my bottle alot quicker than I expected trying to keep these in good shape until the next handout/smoke night/airdrop....ChiefBurg was helpful to get me some Hygros, containers and beads. they are working beautifully.
Again, thank you and everyone else for all the support from home. I am truely amazed by it. Everyone here with me is so grateful, I can't even begin to describe it.

Should travel just fine. My wife sent me a couple bottles containing liquid which mailed beautifully. As long as it's in a plastic container and got packing to alleviate bouncing around, should be fine.

Thank you so much. I just used the last of my bottle to refill everything. Started to dry out a bit, so I should be good for about 2-3 weeks before I have to refill again. This place is insanely hot and dry. I have everything in my office which I keep at about 65 degrees, but everything still dries out pretty quick.

That's really about all we know at this point. I finally stopped by and got the ammo can. Bunch of sticks left in it. I will be more than happy to dispose of them for you. :-) Thank you!!
