Brother, I'm so sorry I forgot to let you know. I got it a few days ago. It's been hectic here lately and a lot on my mind. I totally spaced it. I'm sorry.
Thank you SO much for the box.

Brother those are hidden....I had 1 already.....I was in heaven. I loved it. If anyone finds them, if they reach for them, they're gonna get stabbed or shot. Those are TOTALLY off limits! My plan is to have 1 every now and then as a treat for myself. I want to let them age as much as I can, but I have no self control sometimes. I truely appreciate every ince of every one of them. I don't know what it is about those....I know they are not necessarrily the "best" sticks, but I absolutely love them. They are by far my favorite and I appreciate you half-ing your supply with me.

Not doing too bad. We had a new group of Marines show up about 2 weeks ago. Low and behold, a few of them are smokers. We even got someone started. SHE loves them. Maybe it's just me, but a woman who smokes and appreciates a good cigar is HOT!! She enjoys a medium-full maduro. My kinda woman!! I have managed to keep everyone pretty well supplied so far. Starting to get low, but managing. Everyone here really appreciates the gifts from you all back home.

I'm in for sure. I bought me some "welcome home smokes" and had them sent to my neighbor for care until I get there. Couple of FF OpusX. I'm pretty stoked. I've had 1 that someone was kind enough to send. I was about floored when i saw it in the box. Dang was that one good!!! We're lighting those up the day I get back and wash it all down with a couple fingers of some serious TOP shelf Crown. I don't recall what it is that he bought. I think he told me it was like a $180 bottle. I do know it is GOOD! Had a bit right before I left.
I'm thinkin I want in on the Terf&Herf if possible. I haven't been able to play since I left Parris Island as a Drill Instructor in '07. Can't find a descent course that looks like it's worth playing. Not that I'm semi-pro or anything, but I still like a good course to run around and suck at.

Rich,
I have a box of fine assortment of smokes ready to go with some 2 way humi control packs already working to keep them fresh. I have not been on the forum of late so I just wanted to check the address and timing and make sure you are still accepting the sticks. Again thanks to you and your fellow Marines who keep the peace.
Had a friend’s son just get out after a few tours there with the 3/8 and he came back safe and I hope you do as well!
Herfing Smokem if you gotem!

Are you still at:

Gents,
Sorry I haven't been on lately. I've been doing some traveling here in country and just got back last night. We have gotten word to have all mail stopped as of 15 October. The avobe addy is correct. I'll take anything sent and ensure they are distributed to the deserving warfighters here in country. I took a large "package" with me on my travels and handed out quite a few and found more people who will enjoy them when I send them up to them. I sent 2 large packages to the Marines of 3Bn 4th Marines out in the field and they LOVED them.

On a side note, If you haven't seen them, check out the "105mm 4 finger ashtray" pic and keep this in mind around Thanksgiving timeframe. It looks like I will have them available in limited supply (about 60). $125. That will cover the packaging and cost of shipping. I can get them etched with whatever you want. If it's a pic, I will need a .jpeg image and will take a couple extra days to get done, but I can do it. Engletl, you are #1 priority as we have previously discussed.

A nice big box on the way bud, hope it will hold ya till you come home. Let me know your return date and will get the herf & turf set up and oh by the way (wash it all down with a couple fingers of some serious TOP shelf Crown) – I got that covered for ya.

Also put me on the list for the 105mm ashtray.

Thanks for your service and you stay safe.

Ed,
I'm in for sure. I'll make a trip out of it to head your way to hand deliver the ashtray to you so that we can enjoy a drink and a smoke together. It'll be the first marks in the ashtry. As far as return date, unfortunately I can't say. I will say that after Thanksgiving will work for sure. That's about the best I can give you until I actually get home.

All,
Just to let everyone know, first of all.....THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I sincerely appreciate all the support that I received from you all while I was here. I can't think each and every one of you enough. It has truely made this place tolerable. To be able to take the hour or so and just sit back, relax with a good smoke, and not think about anything. We've been told to have our mail stopped by the 7th of Oct. This will make sure that anything mailed gets to us before we depart back to the states. I'm finally that short over here. The time has finally come! I have quite a few sticks left that will be turned over to my replacement and a bunch sent out to different areas in country to include a few more airdrops.
One of the Marines that is here is one that I have regularly supplied him and his unit. I'm giving a bunch to him to tide him over for a while. If any of you would like to continue to send here, I'm quite certain he would be more than happy to ontinue to fly flags if you wanted them or anything else that he can manage to do to accommodate you. His username on CBid is ScottBLR.
Again, thank you all so much for your support and thoughts.

Rich, "short timer" is a great name to have over there. Let us know the guy/guys you pass the ball to, so we can keep them getting a taste from home support. I sent a pack over a few weeks ago so you should have it soon. Keep the head down and cigar pointed up.

Gents,
Below is the addy for one of the guys I've been supplying, who in turn has been supplying his boys (and girl). He's a Marine Master Gunnery Sergeant that works about a mile down the road from me. He is in charge of the crew that build the bombs (real ones) that my boys load. He'll be more than happy to take over my distribution process here. Thanks again for everything you all have done and sent. I sincerely appreciate it. Hope to run into you at some point in the future. Anything about 3 weeks from now.....roughtly....I'm just sayin'.

Gents, I'm almost outta here. Only a couple of weeks left. Again, thank you all for everything. I really do appreciate it. I'll be in Tempe with ECR on or about the 3rd of Dec to hand deliver a couple of ashtrays.. Would love to run into some of you.

HerfPig-I have a flag for you, but instead of mailing it, I'm going to carry it home with me.

TNA-I won't know until Dec sometime if I got the orders to Oki or not.
