Music have been a big part of my life. Grew up in the late '60s and '70s (...arguably the golden years of rock 'n roll...). Worked in the record business for 9 years after high school then was the audio specialist towards the end of my time at Sony. Always kept my music business contacts so continued to get freebies even after I left the electronics field and then had a small mail order Hawaiian music operation for almost 10 years. Was a bit torrent mad man from 2003 to 2013 (...when I got into cigars...). Used to play my CDs when I went out in the garage to smoke but now, thanks to Jespear, I listen through Spotify.

Tonight:

Michael Franks - Skin Dive

Specifically "Your Secret's Safe With Me"

There was a time when his albums sold like hot cakes, unfortunately this particular recording was, except for that one song, past his prime years.

78 F / 84% RH / 3 mph - the calm before the storm? Big rain predicted tomorrow and / or Wednesday.

Let Me Hang You by William S. Burroughs.

Raunchy, evil, twisted album. I'm in love with it.

Similar twang, Robert Randolph off Sacred Steel. Best to you Conan. It's only wind and water. Take to the high ground.

Darby has lost some wind (...pun intended...) and should be just a big rainstorm when it gets here tomorrow.

Robert Cray - Nothin But Love [2012]

Was privileged to see Robert for the 1st time at VPAC in Vail a few weeks ago. Small intimate theatre with great acoustics seating only around 3,500. Been a fan since his beginning. Added this CD to my Cray collection.

Not a fan but my wife is watching a PBS show featuring the Bee Gees. I would love to change the station but we leave in about 10 minutes for dinner at Lawry's so no point.
