Tom Waits' cover of Cannon Song.

One of the six bonus tracks from the vinyl release of Tom Waits' Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers, and Bastards.

Bought the CD set in '09 when it came out. Never knew there were six AWESOME songs I didn't have. Found them on YouTube today.

Damned good stuff.

Not a fan but my wife is watching a PBS show featuring the Bee Gees. I would love to change the station but we leave in about 10 minutes for dinner at Lawry's so no point.

My girlfriend loves those dudes, I hate 'em. Pissed her off one day, made her listen to Les Claypool's cover of Stayin' Alive. Look it up, it'll rot your ears.

Haven't listened to this in quite a while. Saw them at the Aloha Stadium in January 1997 in support of this album. A teenage Jonny Lang opened.

The only hip-hop album I own:

The Spirit of Apollo by N.A.S.A.

Tom Waits appeared on it, so I bought the album and ended up loving most of it. Neat stuff.

Guess ya gotta feel it. Ralph Stanley and "Oh Death" is like that for some folks too, but it alwaysgives me chills. But thanks for tripping my trigger for a you tube dive that ended with Chris Cornell's acoustic "Billie Jean". Hadn't listened to it in years and forgot how damn good it was. If you've never heard it, do yourself a favor and pull it up. Actually I was looking to see if he had ever covered "Hurt".Herfing

Love Ralph, he's incredible. That voice is unbelievable.

Trying it now. A bit difficult to adjust to a voice that isn't made of gravel and nails, but not bad.

Got an album from an interesting Australian guy named Juke Baritone. Like an unrefined Tom Waits. He's decent, a couple of his songs are downright awesome. I'd like to see him hone his craft a little more.

Ya Said Ya Loved Me is easily his best song.

+2 on Warren

Climbed back into the Carlos Time Machine tonight

Santana - Abraxas

79 F / 71% RH / 5 mph - seems breezier than 5. Nonetheless, nice night to be out in the garage to ash up a Shark and celebrate the end of Phase I of our renovations.

Yup, I first ran across her about the time of "Live at Paradiso". I still expect blood to come flying out on some numbers.
