Unfortunately for him, the electorate is hungering for yet another novelty candidate to elect- a slick woman with cankles.

Jeb would win and he is a far better choice than Romney was in term of ability wand experience. My problem with him is that he is a very strong so social conservative. Jeb v Hillary would be an amazing race!!!

Funny because I think of him as a wishy washy moderate like his brother and father on immigration, taxing big business, foreign entanglements, green power, & (somewhat) pro-life etc.. Probably takes after dad in the brains and shrewdness department though. Cornhole, er Cornwallace was a loser that I initially supported with time & $$$ and expected to blossom into a more Reaganesque politician. Alas, he fell in love with the Saudi King and the rest is history. The beginning of the end of this country. Hillary & her Clinton machine will put the final touches on our epitaph after she wins.

France Calls For 2-Week Delay in US-EU Trade Talks

Government spokeswoman Najat Vallaud-Belkacem told reporters Wednesday "it seems wise to us to suspend them temporarily, for a period of 15 days." She says France will first "discuss with our European partners to take a joint decision."

She said mutual trust is needed before launching talks on such a huge trade deal, expected to provide a boost to economies on both sides of the Atlantic.

A similar act of heroism was done in the 19th Century by Emile Zola, when he defended Captain Dreyfuss against the French Military. He too, was found "guilty" of Defaming the French military and had to flee the country to avoid a jail term. It was the military's claim that Zola "was endangering the country" with his accusations. Sound familiar? In the end, Emile Zola was found to be right, Dreyfuss was freen from Devils Island and returned to the military and several high-ranking officers either resigned or committed suicide.

^ fascinating stuff

I'm torn. Is it possible to betray your government and still be a hero to the American people?
Is our government that bogus?

So in a similar vein, you're saying Snowden is a traitor as well, working against a "good" government?

Nope.

I think if Snowden's intentions were pure in that he wanted to bring awareness to a government that's snooping on what you're doing...you don't need to fly off to a Chinese controlled island or hang out in a Russian airport terminal while despot 3rd World crapholes bid on your residency. There's a right way to whistleblow in this nation and be defended for doing it. He didn't do it and from his own admission he sought the job just so he could gather intel and expose the government. He's not a traitor...he's a spy!

If you all really thought the government wasn't doing this DECADES ago then you're fooling only yourselves!

Now, what should be the rallying cry everyone should be yelling is why our government outsourced Top Secret access to 3rd party vendors. Why weren't they doing this all "in-house"?

Government workers are way too lazy for this kind of spying work. All they would do is spy on their neighbors and stuff. With the cost of their massive salary and benefit packages, 3rd party vendors are cheaper and more efficient.

...and a HS dropout to boot but I'm still not sure how I feel about what he did.
He eventually got his GED before they gave him access to secrets btw.Applause

Spying on Americans = bad (unless they are America- hating infiltrators)
Spying on China & rest of world = good (or at the very least standard operating procedure expected by everyone)

I still can't see why anyone is very passionate for either side of the Snowden argument.
I must be wearing TW's horned owl, geek bifocals with neck chain because I see nothing but grays.

Besides, anybody remember Clinton handing over advanced technology to the Chinese? THAT was treasonous IMO.

So, have we decided whether this man is a selfless hero or a self-serving, traitorous sham yet? Perhaps a little of both?

Manning: NOT GUILTY of “Aiding the Enemy”

Posted by Darryl W. Perry

The Guardian just reported that Judge Col. Denise Lind found Bradley Manning not guilty on aiding the enemy, “Manning has been found not guilty of the most serious charge of aiding the enemy. However the private has been found guilty on five counts of violating the espionage act.” RT.com reports, Manning was found “guilty on 19 other counts including ‘wantonly cause to be published on the internet intelligence belonging to the US government.’ He could yet face a maximum of more than 100 years in jail… He was found not guilty of violating the espionage act for the collateral murder video.” The sentencing phase of the trial is scheduled to begin 9:30 am (Eastern) Wednesday July 31, and could last several weeks.

See? You just can't be happy for anyone? Never satisfied- just like Prince's Purple Rain movie mom.
Haven't you ever argued for the sake of arguing?

Give me a level playing field with opportunities for all and livable wages where the unmotivated and inept can be gradually shuffled into Governments jobs until a modern day Che summons them to the wall! Besides, I fight for Wheelrite and the other little guys. Even if Drafter has to pay for it by cutting back to 6 meals a day.ram27bat
