Four U.S. Navy destroyers armed with land-attack cruise missiles are positioned in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea as President Barack Obama considers ordering attacks on Syria for using chemical weapons against civilians.

Pentagon officials said the naval power includes the guided missile destroyers USS Ramage, USS Mahan, USS Gravely, and USS Barry. At least one missile-firing submarine is also said to be in the region. Britain also reportedly has dispatched a missile-firing submarine to waters near Syria.

Potential targets of the strikes include chemical weapons sites and artillery rocket units.
The strategic intelligence firm Stratfor, in a military analysis of Syria options, said the Pentagon could use U.S.-based strategic bombers and B-1 bombers based at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar for strikes.

“In such an operation, the United States would be able to carry out standoff attacks beyond the range of Syrian air defenses, while B-2 bombers could stealthily penetrate the Syrian integrated air defense network to drop bunker-busting bombs with minimal risk,” the analysis states.
Two U.S. aircraft carriers are days away from being within range of Syria and the Air Force is capable of surging warplanes to the region at air bases in Turkey, Greece, Jordan, and Cyprus, Stratfor said.

91% of Americans agree that they don't want war...
Even all the liberals that are on obamas side don't agree with what he's doing!
Which is bad for him....

Which is ok with me because he's no good!

Ok so if we can get 91% of Americans to poll and agree on this that means something!
Usually we can't even get 10 people to agree on anything!
If he listened to us and all the 91% he wouldn't do it.. Plus it's none if our business anyway!

This is all for something larger to happen... This is happening to make another plan of obamas evil scheme come through!

OTTAWA - Canada has been convinced that Western military action is needed against Syria after reports of chemical weapons usage in the civil war there, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said on Thursday.

"This is a very big risk and we do support our allies who are contemplating forceful action to deal with this," he said. "That said, at the present time the government of Canada has no plans, we have no plans of our own, to have a Canadian military mission."

ROME - Prime Minister Enrico Letta said on Thursday Italy would not join any military operation against Damascus without authorization from the United Nations Security Council.

"If the United Nations doesn't back it, Italy will not participate," he told Italy's RAI state radio, but added that Italy fully backed international condemnation of Syrian President Bashar Assad.

"The international community has to respond strongly to Assad and his regime and to the horrors which have been committed," he said, referring to reported chemical weapons attacks blamed on the Syrian government.

Not true....France is pretending to be "all in" for this war. At least "all in" for the USA and the UK to conduct the war. France has a very high-tech frigate in route and I would expect supply ships laden with wine to sell to the USA and UK ship crews.

British lawmakers reject a measure to give preliminary approval to military intervention in Syria, in a major setback for both British Prime Minister David Cameron and the Obama administration.

Great. What does this mean now for "red line" threats against Iran? Now, it is truly within the u.S. interest to attack- just to preserve our credibility...

Nobody bought into those "red line" threats. Israel is going to need to fight their own war. People in the USA and western Europe are "warred out" right now.

A rogue USA attack on Syria will guarantee that Iran will rapidly increase development towards a nuclear weapon. If you think about it logically, having a nuke is the only way to guarantee that the USA and Israel won't attack you.

President Obama will now be soliciting advice on how to bomb the Assad regime to punish it for using chemical weapons while at the same time supporting the Assad regime in its fight against Al Qaeda-linked rebels.

I see, so the bottom line is, if we don't want to bomb Syria we're isolationists... or so say the irrational.

Wonder if President Bluto Blutarsky would speak up if the Coptic Christians being slaughtered in Egypt were being gassed instead of just being torched and bludgeoned to death? Probably not.

As long as they aren't able to cling to guns or their religion, the most transparent administration in American history doesn't much care how Egyptian Christians are slaughtered.

Obama goes golfing after deciding on Syria military strike

President Obama played golf on Saturday following his major announcement that he had decided the United States should take military action against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad for using chemical weapons on civilians during that country’s civil war.

The president and Vice President Biden left for the course within minutes of his Rose Garden speech in which he asked Congress to first approve such action.

They played at nearby Fort Belvoir with regular Obama golfing partner Marvin Nicholson, the White House trip director, and with Nicholson’s brother, Walter Nicholson, rounding out the foursome.

Obama is an avid golfer, and his outings have resulted in critics frequently saying throughout his presidency that the president is enjoying himself while too many Americans are out of work or suffering through another crisis
