how bout...couple of hundred craw fish in the pool that the can peel their own.

But i cant top the goldfish idea...now you see them now you dont. could be a great magic trick for the kids.

This is a child psychiatrists dream come true.

I am stumped too Sumrao.........a couple thousand dead goldfish belly up in the pool for a birthday party has the the right mix of depravity and humor.

Doesn't get much better than that.

Here is an option that may work a little better........I am assuming this is a pool party, so the pool will be full of kids.

Kids LOVE chocolate bars right??!?

WHY not surprise them and throw in a few hundred Baby Ruths while they are swimming happily !!!

We have ducks land in our pool from time to time, and the dogs go nuts barking at them, then they just fly away...ducks breath air as well...

You could have your own TV show! "Burgess_B the Science Guy"

It doesn't quite have the ring that Bill Nye does, but he's getting older. Maybe he's ready to pass the torch on to some young new hot shot.

Hey! What about those little South American fishies that swim right up your urethra when you're pissing in the water!

That would be fun and educational.

Those little bastids would never foul a pool again!

Told my pool guy about the pool fish thread yesterday, and he was in stitches LHAO...but, he told me this rich guy in Newport Beach, CA did just that for his daughters birthday, bought like a couple hundred triple tails and big gold fish.......it was a disaster he said, we both were cracking up thinking about the kids.......but then I started feeling sorry for the fish, since I am a big softie for animals...

hey billg,

I have this friend from high school named Jon.

One time, he decided he was going to go snowboarding. We lived in Florida, mind you.

So Jon cut piece of plywood into a snowboard shape, then screwed some gate handles or something to it; bending the screws over on the back where they poked through.

He then put on a wetsuit , grabbed his snowboard, and drove north from FL until he found a ski resort.

After several minutes of convulsive laughter from the lift-ticket clerk, he was told he would not be able to use his device on their slopes because it appeared too dangerous.

Jon did **** like this all the time.

I think you and Jon would get along pretty well.

Thats funny!

It reminds me of my summers on Block Island RI. We made a surf board out of anything we could find on the beach at the time, tie it to the hitch of my jeep and go "sand surfin" drivin down the beach.
A few rocks later it wasnt the best of ideas, but was alot of fun. The things we could do pre children.Ahhhhh

HAH!!!

Jon and I would go "sewer surfing".

The drainage ponds and canals all through Florida developments and alongside interstate exchanges, etc were full of black, mosquito infested, putrid stagnant water.

We would run a long rope across the long direction of the water and attach it to his Trans-Am....then one of us would be dragged on a surfboard across the water. This usually resulted in a mouthful of foul tasting water and a panicked swim to shore before any alligators came about.

I was sure glad once we finally got use of a motorboat.

I'd never even heard of this, not even back when first posted. Then I get one of our local papers, late (it's mailed to us...got last Wednesday's and Saturday's...thank God for the real papers from nearby bigger cities).

One of the local rags actually covered a story on this notion. Seems that the local public pool at the only city on the island bigger than 2500 people did this sort of thing. They "neutralized" the chemicals in the pool somehow (didn't say how), then turned fish and young kids in the pool. Let me repeat, they turned little kids loose in the public pool after neutralizing the chemicals.

Can't wait for next week's story. "Local Pool Tests High for Fecal Matter, Swimmer's Itch Outbreak Reported."

I am never, ever, ever swimming in that pool. Ever.

goldfish can survive for prolonged periods in chlorinated water if you prepare correctly...
