know what would have made an even funnier thread? me not posting so quickly, and reading his "other thread" entitled "What NOT to do at a 5-year old's birthday party!"

LOVE this thread. It's always fun to re-read, each time knowing a couple more of the posters a little better.

Good stuff.

Makes me want to put fish in our office's water cooler... Or in an intern's-- [DELETED].

billg ... I say

GO FOR IT !!!

It's a 'moment in time' that your daugher (and yourself) will never forget. Those memories will be precious ...

Anything that is creative and 'out of the box' can only be a good thing, as far as I am concerned.

kinda reminds me of a wedding I went to a few years ago. While the bride and groom were still inside the church finishing with the photographs we were all herded outside to prepare for the traditional exit from the church rice throwing. Except some genius thought it would be so romantic to have everyone release a live butterfly as they exited.

We were each given a small envelop with a live butterfly and instructed to open the envelop when they stepped out the door and walked toward their waiting limo. Unfortunately, someone failed to warm the butterflies sufficiently before passing them out.

The bride and groom exited the church, we all opened our envelopes and the still cold (previously refrigerated) butterflies just fell to the ground. I'm guessing there were 200 or more butterflies littering the sidewalk as the bride and groom walked by very carefully to avoid crunching them. not quite the Polaroid moment they had hoped for.

just put in about 3 or 4 Baby Ruth bars and sit back and tape the the horrid looks and screams of the little children. The memories will be well worth the trouble when played back for years to come.

Got a note from the pool man today. He said he's finally gotten the water "corrected" after all the chlorine bombs I used to F up the pool.

Reading between the lines: it's time for some "pool fish," right?

This is the first time I ever read this thread. Holy crap is it funny. I agree, he did have good intentions, I guess. I don't think I woud have wanted little fish swimming with me in the pool though. Might as well swim in a creek.

Re 138: I want one!! Now all I have to do is get a house and a pool.

Something to add, in the spirit of our beloved "pool fish":

Every year on Easter Sunday, Hugh Hefner invites the extended Playboy "family" (past Playmates and their husbands and kids, certain execs and celeb pals, etc.) to celebrate at the Playboy Mansion.

They do a huge egg hunt on the Mansion grounds for about a hundred or so kids, there are lots of Easter "Bunnies" (if you catch my meaning) and they even have a "petting zoo" (no, this is not a joke).

So this past year, one of my camera crews covered the event and I got a call on my cell phone just as I was getting out of church (yes, I know, why bother when I am so clearly going to hell?).

It's one of my producers and she's sort of freaked out. She says, "This year's petting zoo... there's a porcupine! And a baby alligator! Kids are being put into a pen with a porcupine -- and an alligator! Should I be shooting this?"

And I was like, "Hell, yeah, Hef's pulling a 'pool fish'!"

BTW, I just asked someone to pull some photos and I'll post if we have any pics of the more dangerous animals in the petting zoo. (Maybe Hef read this thread and thought Charlie was serious?!)

#146 Dammit!!!! Couldn't you have stopped at ""petting zoo" (no, this is not a joke)"? I had such a different thought about what the petting zoo at Hef's mansion would involve. Then you had to go AND TOTALLY AND COMPLETELY RUIN IT, YOU BASTID!!!!!!!! FIE UPON THEE, AND A POX UPON YOUR HOUSEHOLD FOR RUINING MY NEWLY DEVELOPING PLAYBOY MANSION PETTING ZOO FANTASY.

P.S. See you in Hell. Have your demons call my demons. Let's hang out, do lunch, etc.

Topped for Tuck.......LOL at Hef's Petting Party....

It just gets funnier and funnier, billg you have a classic that will continue to get bigger.

Hef should try big cats as well, a tiger, leopard maybe a jaguar......kick and outrun the big cat.....if you make it to saftey you get your choice of playmates for the evening, if not, oh well.......too bad
