Walmart said it would be hurt very bad by proposed cutbacks to the foodstamp program.

Wait a moment, thats a perverse incentive! one of the largest corporations with massive lobby power wants to make sure it keeps receiving food stamps. Better yet it is also in the perverse position of being able to create food stamp dependents by keeping its pay below the poverty level.

I was wrong about you Walmart, you do know how to create your own customers and market.

The question we should be asking is: do we want Walmart's market as our country.

You walmart shoppers have to understand what is going on.

Imagine your health clinic had the ability to say, we need more people getting sick.

Walmart is openly asking for more folks to be on food stamps AND they are putting more people on food stamps by paying just below the amount that qualifies you for food stamps.
Thats like the health clinic also making the sick people it wants as customers.

Kroger has just become nasty, in terms of quality. I am so glad we dont have to shop there anymore.

I actually feel sorry for those who have no choice but to get their meat and poultry there. Its both nasty and expensive.

Its fine if you want to look like the honey boo-boo family

Bro I am sorry. My eyes were opened.

I shop anywhere where they dont have such a massive distribution chain that the tomatoes have to be picked green for logistics reason.

I shop at Costco and Trader Joe. They are cheaper and a whole lot better. Ground beef actually tastes like beef, Free range chicken is 2bucks a pound, so what if it cost 50cents more, it actually tastes like chicken.

More to the point I want to also support costco and tj, they pay their employees well. Its the least i can do. Instead of whine that more folks are getting on food stamps.

Don't think you can buy organic meat, fruit, dairy products, and vegetables at Sam's club. You can at Costco. The are 2 stores with very different business models and customer bases.

No sir, thats not the premise it is built on.
Costco is built on the premise of giving both the employee and customer, twice what they get anywhere else.

Years back, I worked at a small meat packing company. People would come in and buy half a cow or pig - something I couldn't afford to do. I was shocked at what those folks on food stamps could afford while I was busting my azz in a packing plant. I should have quit work and went on food stamps.

Again with the pay, do you directly know the pay of said workers?

And your solely basing the difference on organic? Organic costs more so ppl do buy regular to stretch thier budget, both places take ebt. So if I shop at Costco your going to give those shoppers a pass?
Ur organic consumption is making Mexico thrive, only local markets would truly be orgainc and do u know what they use on thier crops? Fertilizer from steroid cattle ****.

No, I am not basing my perception of their differences only on organic, that was simply an example of 1 of their differences. As a whole I think that Costcos products are of a better quality. This is certainly a subjective point of view and has no more validity than your point of view that both stores are the same. But it is my point of view.

Dude, seriously ground beef at walmart is crap animals wont eat, I know I have tried to feed it to them. Ground beef for 20% more at Costco makes really good burgers.

Buy your tires aw walmart- same brand as costco, you will pay more and get half the warranty.

The average wage at Costco is $17 an hour. , ur kidding right. Average wage, plz and I asked this of scompay, give me DIRECT KNOWLEDGE of wages. Ill tell u right now that is not what they make. Cart ppl snagging xarts for 17$ an hour, there would be ppl lined up to get those jobs. Just cause an article is written doesnt make it correct or factual.
Plz go investigate for yourself, starting wage is minimum wage, then in time u get raises, not even after 10 years unless ur in management are u making 17$ an hour.

Yes dude there is a line for people to work at Costco. (I saw Bloody in it)
Most of the folks move with Costco, from west coast to east coast.

I'm the dummy, yet you don't realize that the Hydra-matic transmission in your beloved ATS has internal clutches.

So you're advocating putting Mexican tomato pickers out of a job in favor of the Trader Joe and Costco tomato pickers?? That makes sense. Kill Mexican jobs so then you force them to come across the border and apply for food stamps so they can go to Trader Joe's and buy non-Mexican picked tomatos with the food stamps they had because Trader Joe's put them out of work.

Damn, that makes perfect sense. Why didn't I think of that?
