HdM Epicure #1 today. I smoked while 4 kids and 2 adults played with my dog at the park. haha

He found a baseball in the shrubbery (third one so far) and they kept throwing it for him.

RyJ petite Royale - this one got left a bit to long in the dry box, own dumb mistake. Still not bad considering.

Trinidad Vigia - first box of these I had were dreadful, almost all underfilled. This box so far has been spectacular, so, I dunno. 🤷‍♂️

Another new box. Wrappers are much darker on this box than usual JL. ROTT a little wet but burned okay for such a newbie. Now they go in the freezer and down for a long nap.

Thought about a 5er of those but saw a review and it wasn't that good for the price point. What did you think of it?

They only come in a brick of 50 IIRC and are expensive. Friend gave me a tin to try. I don't know the date but since these have only been on the market for a short time they have no age. I'll take a PLPC all day over these. Seems just a packaging gimmick.

Been smoking a lot of Party Shorts, they're my new go to short smoke.

Another great cheap short smoke is the LFDC Petite Corona.

Also had a very memorable trini vigia the other night, 2018 box and was burning beautiful.

I don't smoke cubans... too rich for my cheap ass. .. I had a monte #2 once and wasn't impressed, I have to say, too mild.

If I'm gonna risk my health and all that stuff, I want to get kicked in the face.. Metaphorically. ..

I was thinking of picking up a 5er sample pack from montefortuna for $50 (on sale, normally $75) but after reading posts, it sounds like I'd be bored with them....

Thoughts? Opinions? juxtapositions?

VR Famoso from the split with Shaun a few months ago. Young but tasty. Whats the deal with the dark wrappers? It's been years but I remember these having much lighter milk chocolate wrappers in the past.

CheapPrick if you like heavier bodied smokes then try the Juan Lopez Seleccion No 1.

The JL#2 is one of my favorites but I would not consider anything Juan Lopez makes as heavy bodied.

Trinidad Vigia 2016 - these have been very good but too spendy to be in the regular rotation

I don't think any CC is overly heavy. I do feel like Bolivar and Partagas are on the stronger side for the island. Opinion based on very limited experience

^Correct. Bolivar and Partagas are generally regarded as the stronger lines... however, I believe the RyJ Cazadore is considered the strongest of the Havanas.

One of which I am smoking right now.

Had a Monte Edmundo at the park yesterday. Sat on the grass with the pup. I smoked a cigar... he chewed a pine cone.
