The word of the day is, "crisis."

Thankfully, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) helped the entire nation to understand what it means, more or less, sort of not. Here's what I came away with from her photo op, err, I mean briefing the other day at the boarder.

Crisis, something that is, or sounds like it is, but it's not, unless it is, when those who say it is, but its not because it is, when it is a blessing, it can't really be not is and it's beautiful (in 17 years or so) probably.

To think that I thought that I knew what crisis meant. Thanks to Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for clearing that up for me!

My answer is a flat. Meh.

We're getting more labor out of these illegals than we are out of our average american citizen demanding benefits... so at least something is getting done.

We need to look into a policy where the illegals get citizenship and the career government-dependent gets deported on a 1 for 1 basis.

I doubt Brazil would let us have it. They're clearly using it to develop a snake army which they will use to conquer Argentina.

This situation is like a plague of locusts. The seagulls saved the Mormons from that back in the day. Maybe we can air drop millions of sardines in a 100 yard wide strip on our side of the border and seagulls would come and eat the children entering that zone illegally.

I'd be interested in seeing how that works.

I can guarantee you the average career gov't worker isn't going to have the drive to make it back into the US through miles of desert. They'll be MUCH easier to keep outside the wall.

Indeed there is, sir. Military men and women actually work for their pay. So do cops, firefighters, garbage collectors, and the like.

I believe the group HD was referring to was the career welfare recipients. Sit at home, squeeze out a couple kids, sit back and watch the love stories while the taxpayers foot the bill.

So can we send the bureaucrats across the border on a 1:1 trade?

Here's the full story for those not willing to check the link:

What is happening to our country? We are absolutely being flooded with a new wave of illegal aliens, and the Obama administration is doing nothing about it. Americans are deeply concerned that their country is being overrun, and now it appears that expressing some of those concerns, such as the health condition of some of these people, can get you arrested.

As Fox News reports, doctors and nurses at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, the site of an illegal alien "refugee camp," were being threatened with arrest "if they divulged any information about the contagion threat."

"There were several of us who wanted to talk about the camps, but the agents made it clear we would be arrested," a psychiatric counselor told me. "We were under orders not to say anything."

The sources said workers were guarded by a security force from the Baptist Family & Children's Services, which the Department of Health and Human Services hired to run the Lackland Camp.

The sources say security forces called themselves the "Brown Shirts."

"It was a very submissive atmosphere," the counselor said. "Once you stepped onto the grounds, you abided by their laws - the Brown Shirt laws."

She said the workers were stripped of their cellphones and other communication devices. Anyone caught with a phone was immediately fired.

"Everyone was paranoid," she said. "The children had more rights than the workers."

The Kenyan King is doing something...he's spending more tax dollars on a solution he's scoffed at. Time to pay the band if you liked all the dancing...and even if you didn't!

As for the "brown shirts" comment...we all know it's code for Nazi...hell even Homeland Security is too. We're on little push from going down the same brand of crazy Germany did and most don't even know it. All it will take is one flip of the switch and it's done.

Jones,
I believe these buses are trying to shuttle children who were found inside the US. They aren't gathering these buses at the border and driving them further into the country. These are children of illegal immigrants, so the whole family is probably caught in the US, and the parents are sent to a processing center for adults to be sent back over the border. You can't put children in the same detention facilities, so we have this issue. In fact, this has nothing to do with immigration policies.... even with the strictest immigration policies, someone's going to make it across the border. When they do we have to process them and their children (if they brought them).

Ok...
This is getting a little out of hand. Here are a few things about this which don't add up.
1 - Baptist Family and Children Services is providing "security"? Since when do church organizations even have security details? And don't you guys usually accuse Obama of being muslim?? Be consistent and at least accuse him of having a "Muslim Family and Children Services" organization provide security.
2 - the "brown shirts"? We're going to say Obama is a nazi because some high school drop-outs 50 levels below him are calling themselves "brown shirts"?
3 - We're accusing Obama of creating Homeland Security now too??????

If it would make you guys feel better we can just execute the kids on your front lawn or something... I don't know. Seriously... this is a screwed up situation for a bunch of kids who are essentially being dragged from one country to another by their parents (do you expect them to say "no mom, I'm gonna stay behind here in Mexico"..) then separated from their family when they're caught, stuffed in a bus, yelled at by protesters when they try to shuttle them to some orphanage-style detention center while the parents are processed....

I think you guys need to step back a little and try to determine exactly why you're angry at these kids.... or why you're angry at Obama for not just dumping them in the desert south of the border... or whatever you're angry about.

To clarify, I don't know for sure that's where all the kids are coming from. It's the best I can surmise... the news stories are frighteningly short on "news"... they're more concerned that some gov't contractor referred to their group as "brown shirts" than why the kids are actually there.

It's a mess, I agree. What I find so weird is I don't think it's really germane to either side's argument... they're just trying to make political points on a bus full of scared kids. Seems a little cheap to me.

Your opening statement IS exactly right....but that does NOT stop you from running your mouth on what YOU think YOU know. My understanding is that of the approximate 52,000 kids who've Come here did so without their parents, and those who were helped by " other " adults to get here....once here that we're abandoned AGAIN. It is a mess that has been dumped on the US's doorstep because they know that bleeding hearts here will screw American children over to make the US look good in the Worlds eye....pffft

Ok... I decided to look into this.
Here's what I found:

The Kids are coming from countries south of Mexico. Our congress passed a law (in the Bush years) which said we cannot turn back children from countries south of Mexico... we can turn back mexican children:
http://www.vox.com/2014/6/16/5813406/explain-child-migrant-crisis-central-america-unaccompanied-children-immigrants-daca

So an entire bus of children COULD show up at our border from guatemala and we would have to bring them into the country and try them in a court. During this period, we have to do something with them, which is where the "permiso"s come in (I think)... these are apparently notices that we are going to send you out of the country, but until we give you the deportation trial, we're going to let you chill here...
http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/news/2014/06/27/undocumented-immigrant-children-spurred-by-reuniting-with-families-not-just/

Interestingly, Obama is pushing to let us just turn them away at the border... so I'm not sure why people are blaming the obama administration at all for this...

So, I WAS incorrect... these are not accompanied mexican minors. These are kids being sent up alone to take advantage of a Bush era law put in place which Obama is trying to reverse. According to the law, we have to provide these kids with a deportation trial (or something like that)...

But I'm sure this still has something to do with obama trying to create brown shirts and nazis.

Neighboring city. Right next to the city I live in... I'm glad they did it.

We need more people protesting illegal immigration, but the solution to stopping it is simple: Don't allow them citizenship, don't speak their language, stop press 2 for spanish, don't give them ANY government handouts, etc... they'll stop coming.

But we make it so inviting... we meaning our ass-pipe government.

(CNN) -- A tide of border crossings by children mostly from Central America is not expected to end soon, and some in Congress blame President Barack Obama for policies they claim opened the floodgate.

Holding centers in Texas can no longer accommodate large numbers of children and mothers traveling alone with their kids, forcing the federal government to open additional facilities.

One is in Nogales, Arizona, where pictures of unaccompanied children lying on the floor of a large barren facility raised concerns of a humanitarian crisis.

But Nogales Mayor Arturo Garina said the site, which serves as an overflow center for up to 1,000, is addressing the immediate need for shelter.

"I'm very comfortable with what I saw," he said on CNN's "New Day."

He said there are makeshift cafeterias and medical centers and that telephone banks and computers have been set up to process people and contact relatives.

Leave no child behind, even if it's our own?

Obama said that he's bypassing congress because "they" (the GOP) are doing nothing.

Well, guess what?
We shouldn't have to "do anything" because we already have immigration laws.
The fact that the federal government isn't enforcing these laws isn't a solid reason to make even more laws.

Tail... The law is being followed right now.

Apparently there's a specific law for immigrants other than mexico and it requires they be brought into the country and given a trial. This is being followed.

I would like to know why they are dispersing them ALL across the US, everyone knows once released and awaiting trial......they'll disappear into the masses.

Of course this immigration surge is rooted in a law to curb child trafficking - brought into law by George W. Bush.

See Williams Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization act of 2008.

Yes, it's all Bush's fault . . . . .
