So, in your "world of economics".. you hike the min wage to $15, causing those with lower skills to either not be hired, or be replaced with automation and on top of that, the bad companies raise prices on their goods and wack the consumer again.

So the lower tier of our economic system gets nailed twice with your method. ( I am not using "class" as that is a Marxist term and there is not a caste system in the U.S.)

Your are a perfect mouthpiece for the left.

Ah, but your words are small. And we don't hear them.

As is evidenced by feeble and unsupported reasoning above.

Well, perhaps "reasoning" is a bit of an overstatement......

Those words are backed by factual analysis of what happens in the "real world" when bad policy is enacted.

Liberals don't deal in reality. They deal in what makes them feel good and consequences don't matter.

Of course you don't "hear" them. Progressive, liberal democrats are the most closed minded people on earth.

No facts, reasoning, or logic is going to make you look at how bad your progressive programs are and make you objectively assess them.

Facts to a liberal are like kryptonite to Superman.

So the best thing for you to do is avoid them at all costs.

When one paints an entire political group with such a broad brush one guarantees that their statement is incorrect.

Ironic that one would use the terms "facts", "reasoning" and "logic" within the same statement which has an extraordinarily low probability of being correct.... as the application of any of the three would make you realize your statement could not possibly be accurate.

the real Ted Williams is in the Baseball Hall of Fame, he was right only a little more than 3 out of 10 times...and our TBG insists Ted would agree with today's version of conservatism.

'nuff said?

lighten up teddybg, stop the nonproductive name calling. Amazingly, there are people with other opinions that believe you can't see reality either. No one is typical of a group, unless you believe in stereotyping.

I don't need to lighten up, I am always upbeat, may not come across in a post, but I don't write in angst. And if "close minded" is harsh name calling, then somebody offended by that needs some thicker skin.

Your analogy of The Splinter being successful at hitting a baseball safely 3.44 times out of 10 doesn't even apply to being "right" in life.

Stereotyping is used a reason, there is a discernible pattern- so what if its not P.C.

I did not say every democrat, but "progressively liberal democrats" are not down for assessing the results of their programs, they are just interested in the intentions of them. - so logic, and reasoning are out the window.
There are plenty of blue dog democrats in regular life that are not in line with D.C. liberal democrats.

I'll wager that a lib democrat will find little to nothing wrong with anything done by Obama, or the Dem. party in the last 8 years.

..but there I go, stereotyping again.

As long as the TSA is patting down granny during "random" inspections, all is right with the world.

and another thing, that is "extreme right wing poppyhead" to you!

trickle down economics is what democrats dubbed the Reagan economic plan, in an attempt to have a catchy phrase to keep their base angry. Basically saying that he only cut taxes on the rich in hopes that some money would trickle down to the mid and lower "classes."

His policies in effect were more of a snowball economics, in that they allowed the economy to snowball larger and larger as they went on and help foster the greatest economic boom known to man. More money "trickled" in to our fed government as the economy BOOMED. It even carried on through Bush I and Clinton.

What a stud.

nice theory. but the actual "product" and "industry" driving the recovery (that blew up) was not simply money trickling down, it was credit being eased so wealthy/banks could loan it out with virtually zero risk. And that was called trickle down or voodoo economics by Reagan's eventual VP, Mr. Bush.

Libs dubbed it "trickle up"because after the hysteria died down and all the houses in da ghetto and elsewhere that had refinanced/took out LOC's etc. bought vinyl siding and replacement windows, and ended up owing more than the trickle down had valued them to be worth in the first place (AKA The Scam), the interest paid "trickled up" to those lenders who took virtually no risk.

Of course, this could only last so long as it was a scam (lending up to 110% of appraised value???!!!), many lost their homes and we paid the loans. I was in a related industry at the time and saw some of the saddest stories you'd ever want to see.

what a stud.

Built up the military after Carter blew a massive hole in it.
Brought down the Soviet empire
Increased the standard of living across the board for all economic levels.
Again, the greatest economic boom the world has ever known.

The house of reps holds the purse strings and the Tipster liked our checkbook.
