it's not possible for me to enjoy a candidate more than The Donald. I will never forget the joy he has brought me from his candidacy and will always be grateful (though I have long suspected he is a Dem operative). I'm not being sarcastic, I love the man.

But yesterday he finally realized that he was dangerously close to winning and had to pull the plug, cuz no way does he really want this job.

So as much as we have enjoyed the show, be honest...if you lived in another country and saw his swansong performance yesterday, you know, the one with the belt going "this way, that way, this way, that way", wouldn't you think America has gone off the rails? I mean, this is a candidate for the office of Leader of the Free World!

Forget the diversions with Obama smears, you've had two terms, it's boring and repetitive. Stay current, how embarrassing is this final act in your minds? Any chance we can be free of groupthink? We all know everyone hates Obama, this has nothing to do with him.

Donald?

I don't follow politics but gotta say his sideshow has delivered more entertainment in the few months than any bit I've absorbed in the past.

We elected a "B" movie actor who co-starred with Bonzo for 2 terms, and some people loved him.

A successful businessman and TV personality doesn't sound half-bad in comparison, especially considering the Hilldog option or the other candidates.

but what a performance he put on the other day! Always brash and has that New York pushy style for sure, but he treated Carson (who is no favorite of mine) about as rudely as a taunting playground bully would do. Totally classless. And not just Carson, Rubio and "what's her name" too!

Carl- good point about RR, but he had some polish. I mean, despite his feelings, about the strongest he got with his despised political opponent was "there you go again". Now, he meant that the man wasn't being truthful, but he did not pull a Trump, brand him a HUGE liar, dance around the stage rolling his belt up and down.

Americans are. Punative bunch.

Clinton committed lied under oath. The Americans punished the Democrats, with..... bush.

Bush drove us into uncharted debt & war stupidity with a completely unnecessary war. Americans punished the Republicans with....... Obama.

Obama socialized health care, has no idea how businesses work, and stood around while the Middle East burns and a "rebounding" economy which is getting families further behind, while giving smart phones and hi speed internet- money we don't have because we are now 20 trillion in debt.

How do you punish Obama?.......... By electing either Hillary or Donald.

Donald will get us to the end of the world quickest. Vote in line with your prayers.

I've heard rumblings that the establishment republicans are trying to draft Romney to run because of the unacceptability of both of the current republican front runners (and probably the crew in the back seat of the clown car too). It is also rumored that political contributions from big money have slowed to a trickle while waiting to see what comes out of the pack.

Well@ least you Dems already know what......er who your candidate is!!! Or isn't, depends which end you look @ it from. Your only choice is a very BAD choice for our country.

THIS....only makes good sense.

Trump will sell the branding rights to "Made in USA" to the highest bidder to reduce the national debt. Then he will stand behind it unless the product turns out to be crap.....then he will say US had nothing to do with it - we only sold the naming rights.

Interesting article about Mexico saying that Mexico is gaining in education and that net immigration has been negative since 2010 : http://www.politifact.com/punditfact/statements/2015/jun/22/bill-clinton/bill-clinton-zero-net-migration-mexico-2010/

When I was in the Guadalajara airport, I saw them selling t shirts with Trumps mug on them. The caption translated to "racist pig".

Hard to figure why the Mexicans don't like him.....

This campaign year has got to be absolutely maddening for every other candidate who thinks he/she's actually got good ideas about what can/should be done. To put forth studied, honest ideas and opinions and then open the paper and see nothing but Trump and Carson must be driving them nuts.

I firmly believe that Cruz, Rubio, Paul, Graham, Huckabee, Jindal...all believe that they have good, well-considered ideas about how to govern. Poop or no poop.

I'm less certain about Carson, Christie, Kasich, Bush, Fiorina...Any others still breathing? I can't keep track.

I can agree that those mentioned in your first sentence believe they have good ideas for governing, but most of them are dead wrong IMHO.

As one who generally DOES know why I post something....I clearly brought it up in the context of the other candidates' likely frustration with Trump candidacy (the subject of this thread.)

Went to see him last night in Myrtle Beach. Had never been to anything like that. Somehow I wound up in the front row with him & the family walking right by me about 3 feet away.
No comment about the rally BUT boy his wife & daughters were the hottest chicks there!!

it is refreshing to see Bernie shake up the left establishment machine & for Trump to shake the right . Both Democrats & Republicans are beholden to powerful interest groups

It looks about time that the powerful interest groups are ready to bring Trump down. Their big problem is who gets the nod and can they even win.
