Everyone knows I would never PM T-Dubb. I've assumed his avatar is a picture of him and I don't converse with his type.

Frank says you told him it’s because I’m black. Which makes him a bad dude for disclosing it. But you are not racist in the least because you said it privately and stuff.

You said your only problem with t-dubs avatar is the guns... that implies you're cool with everything else about it.

If I have to tell you more, maybe your parents failed to give you the proper birds & bees lesson.

By the way, I’ve had various news channels on in the background all day. I do agree with one thing the trump psycophants say. The hysteria and overreaction is a bit much and tiresome.

I think I've just identified the one pejorative for some white people that is just as hurtful as the N word is for some blacks; chinks for some chinese; nips/japs, wops, wet8acks, micks, kykes and all the other racially tinged hate words that have fallen from common use because they were deemed too coarse for civil discourse when the country was trying to unite...

It's the "r" word...some people go nuts when that tag is used on them or on the President and his supporters...

So when your protected groups hear the N word or the gays are called Faqs, it's considered offensive.
But you would consider it be OK to call the President a retard.

There's a special kind of stupid that embraces that kind of logic.

Not to put words in delta's mouth, but I don't think that's the "r" word" he was referencing.

Read through cbid threads ... what r-word suddenly gets all the white racists all riled up and defensive?

Paul, this is what it says on the Statue of Liberty. I do not find it to be PC. To me it embodies part of our ideals as Americans. When you call those countries chitholes, and want less people immigrating from there I am fine with that. You are a private citizen and I respect your right to free speech and ideas even if I disagree with them.

But when our president says the same I am not fine with that. He is held to a higher standard because he is our main representative to the world. His words are not those of a private citizen. Does he have the right to say what he did? Absolutly. Should he have said what he did? Absolutly not.

But all the l's who support the President of the US are cheering him for saying what they are thinking...even as he says he didn't say those words, but did admit using tough language...

two con Senators who were there "don't remember" him saying that, but didn't say he didn't say them...if those words were offensive to them, they'd dang sure remember...so it's possible they are accustomed to hearing (saying?)those words and it's not so shocking to them that it's easy to overlook or not remember...

Yea as long as you are racist behind closed doors it’s not really racist. When someone breaks the door open they are the problem, not the racist stuff.

"If I had a son, he'd look like that"

"why do we need people from those sh*ithole countries? Take them out...we need more people from Norway"

both sentiments expressed by a sitting President ignited a firestorm of outrage...which one more closely matches the values in our Constitution?

Delta they remember. Read their statement closely. They are being very careful with their word selection and are defending trump. The other 4 that were there not so much.

By the way, they were not even supposed to be there, it was a move by the alt right Steven Miller to have them there at all.

Graham pushed back at the time, Durbin did as well. The meeting itself was not in good faith by Trump and Miller, especially following the televised meeting the day before and what trump said. But there was no expectation of secrecy.

Too bad Trump was only joking about the tape recording system...

do you think that a recording of the meeting, with Trump speaking, played to the American people would have a similar affect on them that hearing Nixon saying the words he said had on the course of the Watergate probe?

Nope. I think there is a segment of his support, some in this very thread, that are either ok with it at a minimum or fully support it.

Tcby openly states it’s ok behind closed doors and the guy disclosing it is the bad guy. In this case plural.

That tells you what you need to know.

I had a weekend get together that I fronted and folks were supposed to pay me back. All but one did. My wife told me I should keep harassing the person till they paid me. To me it was worth $50 to figure out who I am dealing with.

To me integrity is acting as if the world is watching you even if they are not. To others it’s ok to act differently behind closed doors and the lack of integrity is on the part of people calling you on it.

There is a value to knowing who you are dealing with.

I’m more concerned with what policies are being passed in this country than Trump's verbiage. While both do concern me, one is far more important to me than the other.

We can quote poems from over 130 years ago all we want, but the dynamics of this country and the world have changed since then.

We either need to fix our tax and welfare system in order to help those Americans that our weak immigration policies hurt (not gonna happen with this administration), or we need to enact more common sense immigration policies. I don't see what the problem is.

It is not racist to try and help poor/middle class families in this country, which includes many different races, religions, and creeds. Trump may very well be a racist, but that has no bearing on whether or not some of his immigration policies would be beneficial to the majority of Americans and current immigrants who are here legally.

I agree but I'm still on the fence with him being a racist. Wait, even if EVERYTHING worked out? J/K

Maybe I haven't seen all of the evidence against him, but him being a racist still hasn't been proven to me beyond all reasonable doubt. That is to say, I wouldn't convict him in the court of law at this very moment.

And I'm going with the definition of racist in which someone feels their race is superior to all other races.

Edit: And I have no love for Trump or racists. I just try not to fall into the trap of confirmation bias. I see a lot of dots being connected that could be explained by something else.
